The read function still got me many papers I wasn't really interested but this still is a really useable and well presented platform.Monkeydoc
Excellent app
Excellent app to updated on journals and specialties of interest. Even better if your institution is supported as you can directly access the PDF article. The PDF viewer is a bit dated in terms of function (on the iPhone anyway). It would be great if you could auto rotate to view the PDF in landscape mode and export to other PDF support apps such as goodreader or iBooks.Show lesstwobunnyrabbit
Essential
Read by QXMD is one of the most useful applications on my iDevices. This app simplifies the process of accessing the library of academia, and has incredible potential. In medical practice, Read is my first port of call when researching new topics and it does not fail to disappoint. One of the most useful features is the 'Most Popular' email that arrives every week. This update is usually fairly good at highlighting the most important new research in any given area. Would love to see a desktop port of this application.Show lessZjrobinson
Journal Articles
I have this app invaluable as it collects the articles I wish to read in one place for me. I can use my Athens account to download journal articles I cannot get access to via the app. I am finding that I am reading many more articles than if I had to trawl through lots of Journals to find the ones I am interested in.Show lessDoc Corb
High quality
An excellent app around which I now base all my reading of the medical literature. It integrates well with my university library access to pull the full text articles. On my wish list for this app would be the ability to open PDF in Dropbox or Goodreader. At the moment the only way to extract the PDF is to email it to myself. Incredibly useful, don't hesitate
I came across this app as a way of doing Pubmed searches on an iPad app. It far and away exceeded all my expectations, now on my Iphone as well. Put in favour journals and can browse papers, downloading full PDF where available. Star any papers of interest to hold abstract and PDF longterm.
Also put in main speciality (in my case nephrology) and another section scans renal journals and papers elsewhere which are relevant. Plus can do one off Pubmed search.
The real deal breaker for me though has been putting in keywords and app continually searches database for these. When on University network I can download full PDFs then read later at my leisure.

Really useful app
Fantastic app, I downloaded it as a first year medical student and it allows you to read which ever scientific medical articles you wish very easily, with a vast array of current topics to choose from i can't recommend it highly enough. I think it's very helpful for choosing something to write an essay on or to get a bit of extra knowledge in a particular field when you come across it in your studies.Show lessm_p1989

This app is brilliant! The developers added university of Bristol very quickly after my request. and works like a charm! Easy download pdf articles from your library. I now have all my fav journals in one place, and can easily keep myself up todate from 1 place.
