I purchased the WPS-100-DVR-8CH in good faith from SnapAV.com. I do not believe that SnapAV did not know about Apple’s upgrade to whatever OS it was that made my system obsolete. I believe that their motive was to unload as many of these soon to be dysfunctional products before we the public found out they were dysfunctional. It is the manufacturer or wholesalers responsibility to be sure they are selling legal and functional products to the public. It is not the customer’s responsibility to notify the manufacturer or wholesaler the product sold will not work because Apple upgraded their OS. The upgrades occur with all OS‘s. Why is this such a surprise to SnapAV? What else do you sell that is going to be obsolete when or shortly after we the public purchase it. By reading some of the Reviews, even the installers were kept in the dark about the obsolete equipment. Why don’t you, SnapAV, buy back the obsolete WPS-100-DVR-8CH equipment or any other obsolete equipment or give us a nice buyback discount before someone thinks about bring a Class Action Lawsuit against you. Maybe, because you advertised this equipment on the Internet for sale, the FBI would be interested in a criminal felony case.

I understand that you say that the App “TapCMS” will work, but quite frankly, I am really tired of screwing with it and as of 10/25/2018, I can not get it to work on my iMacs, iPhone 6s+’s or my iPad.

Why does a customer even have to write up a review like this?

Will Lumalink work with my WPS-100-DVR-8CH?

Crash crash crash

Please fix this app! As an AV installer I can't sell or use your product if you can't have a working app. I have a wirepath bullet camera and when I entered the dns address it default me to save it to NVR. When I open the NVR the app crash. It will let me save the internal IP address to IP icon but then I can't use it offsite. Your company have good cameras but please spend some time to fix the app!

This app is crap

This app is terrible, slow and outdated. It needs to be updated to the 21st century.

Crap

I've had issues with this over priced system for about a year now, system is advertised as "crystal clear 1080p". Playback is choppy, people / animated objects look like they are moving in slow motion, then they just disappear. Here's the icing on the cake for this over priced crap; my neighbors house alarm was going off just now, so I immediately open the app and search. Sure enough, motion in my driveway and front door. I'm thinking. Good news that hopefully I got a bad guy on video, right? No. It wouldn't play it back through the app, so I went to my office to login manually, and it says "no recording at this time" although it picked up motion. Worthless. Don't get duped like me, spend 1/10 the price and buy some wireless system at Costco or best buy, I promise you it will perform better.

No ONVIF ability

I have 7 Wirepath cams and 2 Foscams. The Foscams work fine with the Wirepath NVR and can be viewed using web browser or direct HDMI connection to the NVR, but when viewing the NVR from this app, it will only allow me to view the Wirepath cams and not the 2 Foscams which is a problem. If the NVR supports ONVIF, the app should be able to make those ONVIF connected cameras viewable through Wirepath NVRs. The app also doesn’t allow viewing of ONVIF even if you add it as an individual camera that’s routed to the Wirepath NVR. I feel this was intentionally crippled so that users are forced to purchase Wirepath cameras in order to achieve full functionality of their system on the app. Also, the app’s recording playback functionality works only sometimes. Most times it either crashes the app or just gets stuck in buffering (this happens even when I’m on my home network which the NVR’s hooked up to directly as well). I’m positive it isn’t a bandwidth issue as I’m running 150Mbps up/down. Lastly, when viewing cams individually and accessing the SD cards, when clicking an image, it requires me to go back to the list and back into another image. It should really allow for a swipe motion for next image. It also sometimes gets stuck showing the image as completely blue. To resolve this I have to force close the app and try again till the images appear proper.

All in all, the only thing that really works consistently for me is simple viewing the cams without trying to utilize any special features.

App crashes constantly.

Not even usable.

Beware of usage!!!

I have this system installed on a yacht connected to a cellular modem when not connected to a land wifi. Be Very carefull when using w your phone as well as with iphone and apps running in background , this app does NOT close the connection out unless you back all the way out to the home screen. This resulted in an enourmous bill thru both the cell phone modem and the customers cell phone plan. In making it right w cust my profit from snap on this job went to -$$.
I have three other customers with the same set up but diff NVRs and app's and even my own personal low coat Revo system app shuts down automatically. This is a deal breaker for me for ever recc or installing this system even in a home as can eat you cell data up if not completely closed out properly.

Seriously snap?

How am I supposed to sell this product with this app? This is the laggiest app I've used in years. Embarrassing really.

I have nothing to compare it to but it seems fine

This is our first camera thus using this app for the first time and it seems to work just fine on my iPad and my husbands Samsung tablet. My complaint is that I don't know what some of it means and I don't see any info explaining it.

New version total garbage

So I upgraded my NVR firmware and upgraded all my iOs devices as well, and after installing this, I log into the NVR recorder, but when I click on an individual camera the app crashes. It does this on all iPhones and iPads we have. Stay away.
