No export
The air drive works well but the application does not allow you to import files into apps on the iOS device. For example a wav file won't open in music app, it uses it's own app. I need this to import wav files into barrage band, it doesn't do that it doesn't even allow mp3s. The app needs either Dropbox or audio copy or even email export. Without these it's only a viewer and a poor PDF one at that misses most of the detail.

What?
Nice to be able to access your photos through the wifi drive, but once the photos / videos are on your phone, there is no way to access them on a computer, no way to save them to camera roll, no way to stream them to facebook or upload them to the cloud. Totally pointless.
Still functionally very lttle use.
No Slideshow for images. Still opens in portrait. Poor. Browses files on the airdrive OK but thats all. Nice hardware. Rubbish app.
Useless
Whats the use of it if you cant use the file ?!!!
It's suppose to share files like photos, but what kind if sharing is this ? if you cant save the photo on your phone, you cant use it, you cant e-mail it & you cant even take out of the app, it's stuck there.

Image size reduced on upload
It is hard to separate the app from the device so I will review both.
The app pros
- reasonably straight forward to use
- nicely warns when it can not access the device
- video is uploaded at full resolution
- plays all the music, videos, and pictures I have tried
The app cons
- when uploading pictures it reduces the image size by 70%
- the "more" button is where you access device settings and how you get to your camera role to upload pictures and videos. This is far from obvious and not easy to find.
- you have to use the refresh button to get any content to show up and there is nothing to inform you of this.
I would give the app 3 stars over all
The device pros
- no setup required
- built in USB cable looks very durable
- very compatible as a USB storage device plugged into my computer and my other devices (router, stereo, media player)
- 19MBs read speed on USB
- reasonable wifi strength
- connected devices can see each other so you can use this to make a small network between 5 devices. Great for syncing your phone to your laptop or tablet
- perfect size to carry around
Device cons
- sdhc cover is a little hard to open
- only states compatibility with 32gb cards so I assume no SDXC support
- no instructions included with the device, you have to find it online. A PDF included on the drive would have been nice.
- wifi range is about 15 feet. But this probably saves battery power so maybe not a bad thing
- no configuration web page
- computer can not upload files over wifi only over USB
I would give the device 4 stars over all. And I would by it again.
