NEW: URL Scheme support so you can launch Calendar Paste (and templates!) from Launch Center Pro and similar. Here's how it works: calpaste://launch Simply launches the app. calpaste://paste?title=TITLE Launches the app and tries to open the paste screen for a templates called TITLE. The display title wins over the event title. /!\ Remember to replace space characters with %20 in URLs.

Description of Calendar Paste 3

Build templates for events that occur irregularly and paste them into your Calendar! Did you ever wonder why Apple’s built-in Calendar app has no Copy & Paste? I certainly did! Stop going through the tedious process of providing every event detail over and over again and use Calendar Paste instead to: • Schedule team meetings, • work shifts, • on-call duties, • productivity appointments with your lazy self, • events with durations like 3:45 which are ennerving to specify in the Calendar app. --- Attribution: Thanks to Daniel Bruce from http://www.entypo.com/ for the lock icon template!

Reviews of Calendar Paste 3

  • Great app for shift work

I’ve been using CP for 10 years every schedule and usual event.
Includes alarms, notes, address all the stuff.

No updates for a bit, but still works great.
  • Doesn’t support multi-day events or event time

I frequently have all day events that last for 3 to 5 days. There is no option for this - requires a manual edit to add the additional days once in the calendar.

Also no way to set the time. At best this app is a two step process.

I walked away from Week Cal which does have templates as part of the app. But they decided to remove features unless you pay $15 a year. Greedy.
  • Let users predetermine TIME in templates

I also agree that users should be able to set a predetermined TIME in each template.

Why assume everyone would prefer events to begin at midnight?

I always know what time I need to set for my events in advance, yet you make users decide this every single time we use your “shortcut”. I’m annoyed by this inconvenience EVERY time I use this app — it’s such a mind-boggling oversight. This is a really needless & counterproductive annoyance, please fix it

Please allow users to predetermine what time each of our irregular event will begin when we create a template.

(Why isn’t this obvious oversight already fixed / implemented?)

    Developer Response

Thanks for the feedback! Currently, the app remembers the last time you used a template. I'll make this configurable in a future update, though, since so many people request this.
