Exactly what we needed
Found this app by luck in prep for our South Island trip. It has everything we need to feel comfortable in a camper for 18 days, showing powered and dump sites, among other important things, by using the filters. Wonderful job, worth the money absolutely and we haven’t even gotten on the road yet.Amato914
Worth it to spend few bucks $
If you are in NZ and owning self contained vehicle definitely spend few bucks for this app. We been travelling around NZ over 2 years and tried many apps for freedom camping WikiCamps are the best in deed. It saved as lots of money and time as other apps didn’t show all free campsites and also have offline mode you just have to download offline maps while you connect to data.Show lessMarius Del Bajcura

From the stunning landscape to the local free range horse’s....this place is magical!
The local are mostly friendly and don’t bother.
Good fishing and an awesome local guide can help you to the best spots !

use Wikicamps
We have used Wikicamps in both Australia and NZ. It is necessary for any camper or motorhome traveller. In NZ photos are rare and comments good. The problem is that sometimes ther is no comment for a year or more and one does not know if the place is still operatingboerbeskuit

This app is so helpful for planning camping trips around NZ and finding all those places that aren’t very well advertised. Great filter capabilities and great trip planning capabilities too. Recommended!mp_nz

We are living full time on the road at the moment and couldn’t live without WikiCamps now. So much information and the ability to leave up to date information about a site is amazing to save wasting time with places that are inaccessible or not currently open.Shanizzle95

There’s a lot more information available on this site and you’re more likely to find something suitable.
Only wish each location/point of interest was kept more immediately up to date as comments on some sites already a year old.
