  • Amazing app!

It's really useful in my general life as well as my private life. I spend my time writing essays and working on short stories. I need the occasional quick reminder of diction so it helps quite a bit.
  • One of the most helpful apps out there

This app is a game changer for vocabulary building. It's the perfect partner for when you're reading a book and stumble across a word you don't now and think, "I really oughta know what that means."
It's a sound database to keep the words you are learning and would like to learn all in one place with a built-in review.

If there is one thing I would suggest, It would be to add a feature where the words can be reviewed not only by reading the definitions and then guessing the word, but also by reading the words and then guessing the definitions-more like a flash card. If this would be added, it would keep me from having to use this app in tandem with an app like Brainscape, and would be an all-in-one powerhouse. The images also seem to load rather sporadically as opposed to loading one for every word which would be massively helpful.
With all that said the app is beautifully executed, it's a fantastic idea for learning and encourage the developers to continue with the updates!

  • Excellent vocab tool

I was so tired of looking up words on my kindle only to forget them a few days later, so I started using this app. I love it! I do a review session every day and it is super helpful. My only wish is to see the words used in a sentence. Sometimes I learn the definition, but I'm still unsure how to actually use the word.

  • Seamless Tool of Excellence: A MUST MUST HAVE!

This new version has succeeded at perfection: Clean & precise graphics, great preference settings, so easy to use, far better a reviewing tool with definitions given upfront and fill in the word, even images to pair with your words, helps you find words, source & notes included, the MUST HAVE word reviewer and I've bought them all, yet this is the only one still on my phone. This version is not only superior as a tool, but absolutely beautiful to look at. Even the sounds are seamless. I thought they forgot about this app, even though still I always used it, but the update is an all-together different, beautiful, and perfect app!!! No one could be disappointed and I know how big that statement is, but they DID IT!!!

  • Beautiful design and truly useful

The above says it all really.
  • Brilliant

First, it's lovely. Second, it's lovely.

That the review of words you've looked up also requires your figuring out how to spell then is quite cover and further cements the word in your mind. Love this.

  • Excellent app just got way more powerful

I found this app ages ago when I was looking for ways to build my vocabulary in a "gamified" way. Sat on my home screen for ages but I started using it regularly a couple months ago. It's brilliant! The redesigned version is far more powerful, though, letting you control your "review" session and giving everything a much more engaging feel. I am sure to keep up the daily review now.

Only one thing I would like to see changed is that your words in review mode don't even give you the first letter as a hint so you're flying blind. Not great for words with synonyms as you can be left scratching your head more than before, and use hints more often (meaning you get lower scores).

All round though, it's the best English vocab builder out there. Love it!!

  • Good app

It is a very good app but u should maybe try allowing the users to use the word in a sentence. And maybe trey adding a little bit more activities because it got kinda boring after a couple try's doing the same thing

    Thanks so much
  • Quick Suggestion

Really great app! I've been looking for something like this for a while.
I just feel I'm not actually learning some of the words I put in because once I see the first letter and the spaces after, I feel I don't even need to look at the definitions sometimes. If it could be optional to have the first letter present and the spaces that follow it I believe it would be a lot more beneficial.
Aside from that, this app is pretty amazing!
