  • Mostly works, idiosyncratic UI

It’s ok for quick posts and drafts but the sometimes unintuitive UI and the limitations of iPad OS make writing longer posts a bit of a chore.

Tiny font in the editor really doesn’t help and the Font and Font Size settings under Editor Defaults don’t actually do anything, same font and size regardless of what they’re set to.

Can’t insert a link within the text you’ve already entered, it always puts it at the end.

  • Photos break

Photos will seem to work, but eventually fail will a 403 Forbidden error. Just search for “BlogTouch 403” to see posts about it at the Google forums.

In a reply by the developer, he puts the blame on Google Drive, but there’s no alternative in the app for photo storage. So the app is a ticking time bomb.

I now have to edit dozens of posts to reinsert the images. Don’t make the same mistake I did!

Hello, Thank you for your review. BlogTouch can publish posts with photos on your blog, but the app does not host or manage your uploaded photos - only Google (the developer of Blogger.com) does that, Google stores and manages the posts and the photos. In this case, for whatever reason, a temporary issue or not, Google blocked access to some photos. You can still find the photos in your Google Drive account in a folder called "BlogTouch for Blogger". The only solution in this case is to update the post adding back the missing photos. You can also write me an email to hello@alexdenk.eu and I will gladly provide you with more details.
  • Lost my photos!!!!!

Has a bug that loses your photos because of a lazy hack that stores them in a temporary file, apparently. Google won’t fix, developer refuses to acknowledge or fix, and you are stuck. I painstakingly restored all of my photos that the app had lost, only to find them gone AGAIN after a couple of months. Totally devastating.

    PLEASE HELP!!!!!

  • Disappearing Photos

I’ve used BlogTouch for years, but recently a huge problem has arisen . After 30 days the photos on my blog (and on the app) keep disappearing. I’m really upset as I’ve lost the record of my trips to Spain and later to the Kimberley. This WAS a good app, but has now let me down massively. Margaret Butterworth.

  • Don’t Use

I had this app for years and it worked great up until recently. I started having pictures disappear from my blog after making a post. I kept having to reload the pics. Google blamed this app and when I contacted the app contact they blamed google. So I had to make a decision hoping it was the right one. I deleted the app and the problem I was having stopped occurring. Sad part is that I’m back to doing my posts from my computer now. I really did like the convenience of this app but the hassle of photos deleting all the time just wasn’t worth it in the end for me😞.

  • Photos disappear from blog posts after a while

I’ve used this App for a long time and it was quite convenient when travelling. It has a much better editor than the web-based one provided by Blogger.

Now, on my first holiday travel since Covid, over the last few months, the photos are slowly disappearing from the blog posts. Over 100 blog posts are now broken. It seems that I am not the only person suffering this problem. I left a message on the developers website a month ago and got no reply. Don’t risk your blog entries by using this App.

  • New problems

This app has worked for years. Now when I make a new post, the pictures show up for a little while and then disappear. My pictures have disappeared for my past 20 posts!!
  • Photo Disappear

I’ve used the app for a few years and have been happy with it until this year. For the second time, several weeks of photos on post have disappeared and cannot be recovered. I will no longer use the app and recommended against anyone using it if you care about the photos.

  • Photos!

I’ve used this app for a couple years and loved how it worked, but now when I edit my blogs and add pictures, they eventually stop showing up. That bug really needs fixed
