More

3.0

December 22, 2020

FrequenSee 3.0 completely developed from scratch! It no longer uses Fourier Transform (FFT), and is now instead using a custom signal processing design related to the process of human hearing, resulting in a very much improved time accuracy.

More

2.1

May 8, 2017

- changed sampling rate to 48 kHz, improving the support for iPhone 6s and iPhone 7, and improving the quality in general - uses the measurement mode, minimizing the amount of system-supplied signal processing - should now have a flat frequency response curve (influenced by microphone characteristics)

  • This Ap has been a God Send when it comes to Live Sound

This Ap has been a God Send when it comes to Live Sound…… and I’ve used it for years!
Vocal Feedback in a Monitor? Easily let’s you find what to “Cut”!
Vocals just don’t quite sound right … Helps to both Cut or Boost!!
I keep my phone handy & get get my PA up & running in NO TIME 👏👏👏
  • Not accurate.

4kh sound displayed as 12kh peak on display. Results aren’t in the ballpark. Not usable.

    Developer Response

Not sure if this is an April Fools' joke? Either way, I will make sure the next version is accurate for sine sweeps and pink noise. In my recent findings I can say Fourier based analyzers are very inaccurate for pink noise, the properly calibrated version of FrequenSee should be superior.
  • Why did you change it??

This app used to be so perfect! It’s so hard to read now and it keeps freezing! Change it back please!

I’m a sound engineer and found the old visualizer to be so helpful and accurate! Now I can’t use it

    Developer Response

Version 3.1 won't freeze on iOS 16. Proper line drawing will come back in the next version. Accuracy is currently also top priority. The new version will merge the responsiveness of the current version with the smoothness of the old version and will be more accurate than ever.
