Great app
As a parent and a teaching assistant this app is great for children to do independently and encourages the child to look at the whole word and is fun so the child will want to play it.Rach2820
Why have you changed it?!
This used to be absolutely brilliant, the penguin run game was the best way for my daughter to learn to read...but now, instead of the different words to jump to, the penguin game displays awful miss-spellings of each word which are totally inappropriate and confusing when trying to learn the correct shape of a word. The app has become completely unusable and my daughter is totally dispondent now. Why oh why have you changed it!! Please, please put it back how it was :( :( there is no way of contacting the developer, all their website shows you is a map of cornwall, not even an address or email.Show lessrg8766

This would be an excellent app if the voice reading the words aloud didn't have an accent OR it was changeable.Ang2485

An excellent classroom tool
I work in KS2 and was looking for an app that could help a group of children in my class who struggle with reading and spelling. I wanted a fun app that they could use independently that would help them recognise and begin to spell their HF words. This app was able to provide this for my children.
The app is simple enough for children to navigate and the games are fun and sustain children's attention.
I even found this useful for using with my EAL children.
