Best timer I've used
I run tech for community events every so often. Part of this job is timing the speakers. The speakers do not all have the same amount of speaking time, so it needs to be easy for me to set. The time range is generally 5-30 minutes at the same event.
I want the timer to be easy for the speaker to see without being obvious to the audience. It needs to be large with an obvious timeout indicator. I want a countdown to show remaining time, followed by a countup so the speaker knows how much extra time they'ne used.
One of the things I've done before almost every one of these events has been to find a timer I like more than the others I've used. Sometimes, I've tried more than one. I've tried about a dozen.
I needed a timer for an event last October. One of the ones I got was this application. It did everything I wanted it to do. Some of the speakers thanked me for having such a good timer.
I was working on an event yesterday. This was the first time I did not have to find a timer I liked more than others. The timer was just as easy to use and unobtrusive as it was the first time. Simple but great.
Love that once it counts down, it changes color and starts counting up--so you know how much you've gone overtime. Great for public speaking.CalgaryDadGuy
Cannot re set timer
Not happy with this app. Timer is difficult to set for exact time first go and when timer has finished I cannot for the life of me work out how to re set it. Waste of money uninstalling now.SGS89

Can't reset the time. Can't find a help screen. ??

Really good, but could use color
I like the app. The silence feature of the app is important to presenters, as noise or vibration would disrupt the presentation. I would, however, like to see some color indicating when it's time to wrap up...even better would be type ability to set a wrap up time. Either way, color would give this 5 starsShow lessSuperlouie1
Good App - Could use a yellow warning
This is a good app that does what it says. Could use a yellow background when a certain time remains (such as 10% of time). This is how EVERY physical speaker timer I've used has operated. This gives the speaker the indication to wrap things up. Same concept as a stoplight (go, get ready to stop, stop).
