  • App Not Reliable

    Calls come in but then the person on the other end can’t hear anything. It’s a constant struggle. We lost several calls in one day causing internal frustration and loss of revenue. Test out the app extensively before you buy. Buyer beware.
  • Buyer beware!

    Drops calls more often than it answers them, or has static when making a call. Customer service is non-responsive. I regret using this service for my small business.
  • It was okay but now it doesn’t even work

    So before the last update, the app already wasn’t great but it allowed me to answer a call if I was away from my desk phone. It never gave me an option to place a call on hold though which was frustrating. And also if another call came in, it would still ring loudly in my ear while I was trying to hear the other person.

    And now since the newest update, the app won’t even open. I’ve tried restarting my phone, I tried deleting the app and redownloading it, nothing works.

  • Stay Away

    Literally the worst app I have ever used. It doesn’t let you log into or out of your queue without trying 10-20 times, more often than not the person on the other end of the line cannot hear you speaking, even when someone else answers the call your phone will keep ringing and it won’t stop until you hit the decline button. It would actually ring until your phone dies even though there isn’t anyone to pick up the phone for.

    So much frustration with this app. Just stay away.

  • One poor component of an overly poor system

    Writing this to hopefully save another company from making the mistake mine did by going with a Star2Star phone system. The entire Star2Star phone system has been one giant frustration and nightmare. Nothing works the way it’s supposed to. We’ve had to implement so many workaround solutions just to achieve basic functions we were told were available. If you work in the technology department and expect to be able to configure anything yourself, forget about it. Even basic user management, such as changing an email address, is so locked down no one can do it except for your “Star2Star Channel Partner.” The Starphone app is just one small part of terrible overall system and company. The call quality on the app is poor and consistently unreliable. The app is incredibly basic and lacks so much functionality. Our employees immediately became frustrated and stopped using their phones when we switched to Star2Star. There are terrible design decisions all across the design and implementation of this phone system. I feel nothing but disgust for and betrayal from this company. This has been the worst product I have ever dealt with as an IT professional. I cannot stress this enough: AVOID STAR2STAR AT ALL COSTS.

  • Terrible

    This app needs some major updates. Unfortunately Star2Star is what my company has always used and i don’t have any say in this, but I do have the pleasure of calling the phone company on a weekly basis to trouble shoot app issues 🙄 So many calls are missed and the only way the app works is if you constantly delete it and reinstall. I hope they come up with a solution soon because this is super frustrating.

    Works great when you have a good data plan or good WiFi! Very cool making a out bound call from the businesses caller ID.

    I have to re download this app every day and pray that it will work correctly as my business is counting on it.

    It is very inconsistent. When it works - it does it’s job. As customers we need this to work 100% of the time. Our business is relying on this during trying times working remotely.
