Upgrade towers for villages

I’m trying to pay my bill but I cannot get the app to work passed the log in screen because of the mediocre service. Not only does it cost 5x more than the services provided in Anchorage, it’s constantly disconnecting and the internet access you get realistically won’t match half the speed of whatever you’re paying for.

Design flaw of “always present” frame

During the chat feature, I can’t click to provide a reply because it is covered by the frame at the bottom of the screen. The same goes for making a one-time payment through the app. If you have more than a couple cards stored, you can’t navigate to the pay button because it is covered by the frame. Super slow for a tech app, running on their network.

Nonsense

I’ve been to the GCI store in person, updated auto pay personally with a staff, only to figure out it didn’t take. I then tried to update it in the app; however, I can’t choose a date from the 1st to the 31st because all the days are somehow on or past my due date? Additionally I can’t scroll down to the save changes because of the informational pop up about all days of the month being on or past my due date. I called customer service and had them set up auto pay, only to figure out 2 months later it didn’t take. Additionally tried the app again to no avail… every day of the month is on or past my bill due date. Great internet, poor accessibility.

The buffer wheel of death

I don’t know what’s happened to this app in the last month but it’s pretty much useless. Can’t even log in. Glad I’m done with GCI. It was constantly glitchy and whenever you called customer service they did everything they could to keep someone from coming out to fix the problem. They tried to make you diagnose your own crap. If I wanted to fix cable connections, I would have been working for GCI. I’m not on their payroll. Why are they trying to get me to fix my own crap? I digress

Glitchy

I’ve had GCI less than a month and have already had numerous issues. And each time I try getting help through the app, the app logs me out in the middle of the customer service chat. It’s extremely frustrating ON TOP of the numerous issues we’ve already had. Improve you app, at least. So we can get help for the other issues. Oh and they don’t tell you that ONLY their wifi extenders work. That’s something that should absolutely be disclosed. Will be changing service providers and deleting this god awful app

Slow login and unable to purchase data buckets

Login is very slow with 3G and WiFi, and I’m unable to purchase data buckets for my WiFi. It just comes up blank even if I log out and log back in. I tired to sign in on the MyGCI website to purchase data buckets but it will say there is an error and to contact GCI for assistance. I’m able to pay my bill through the app though.. when I called GCI for them to add buckets for me they said I need to remember my user and password when I mentioned I have this issue.. this app needs to have some bugs fixed.

Design flaws

Among the mini design flaws of this app, one is particularly annoying. If you have more than two payment methods stored, you cannot make a payment on your account using this app. The button that one must happen in order to proceed after having selected the card and entered, the payment, amount is hidden by the frame of the app and nothing you do can make it available to you. This is a known problem, it has been reported to GCI in the past, quite some time in the past, but GCI doesn’t care. They have a dominant position in the Alaska cell phone and Internet market and they think they can just ignore customers. The bad design of their app is simply a manifestation of that. We don’t care about the customer attitude.

Can’t even log in, it’s just an infinite spin cycle

Can't access all buttons to confirm changes

The app seems to work ok. But if you are trying to make changes to anything. The confirmation button is stuck below where the Overview Billing Usage Services User tab. You can swipe up, and see the buttons you are supposed to click, but when you let go, the button slides back behind the soft buttons. I called customer service which was a 45 minute wait time, told them the issue and they assured be they will let the right area know, well it's 6 months and my card expired, I can't go to the app...

Please Fix the App

There are several pages that don’t let you view the whole page. For example, I’ve been trying to reenable the auto pay feature, but the save changes button is just below the bar. It’s frustrating. I know I could call, but I shouldn’t have to.
