All new look with brighter colors and a clearer workflow. Calculations are now saved so that you can create new calculation pages while still being able to revisit old ones. If you purchased an earlier version of this app, you should automatically have full access to all features. If you've never purchased the app, you will get Adjust a Pattern calculations for free and have the option to pay a one time unlock for Test My Gauge and/or Use Measurements.

A nice new icon for iOS 7! Late in coming, I know. :) Generally, a cleaner look throughout the app. Improved helpful hints. For a full tutorial, please visit the website and get the free download PDF of the Knitphisticate Guide to Playing with Gauge. You can now click on the Knitphisticate logo at the end of every help page and it will open the website. Fixed the funny layout bug where the first button's text would print below the button instead of on it.

Description of Knittrick

Instant gauge math for knitters! Three easy-to-use options: Adjust a Pattern (Free) — Converts stitch and row counts from the pattern's gauge to your new gauge. Takes repeating patterns into account if you wish. Test My Gauge (One time unlock) — Tells you exactly how much bigger or smaller the project will be if you just knit it as written, but in a different gauge. Work from Measurements (One time unlock) — Effortless calculations of stitch and row counts from finished measurements. Takes repeating patterns into account if you wish. Calculations are saved for you to view or edit at any time. Start a fresh set of calculations by tapping on the calculation type you want. Knittrick works in inches or centimeters and happily handles repeating patterns which require whole repeats of any stitch or row count. The ultimate knitting notion. *** I am an avid knitter myself and have designed this app from the ground up to be as useful as possible. Please email me with any questions!

Reviews of Knittrick

  • Very disappointed, waste of money

I never received the help guide, numerous emails sent to the creator and no response. The group on Ravelry is not active and no response from the creator via the group. Total waste of time and money. Don’t bother with this app, keep your money.
  • Love this app

I love this app. Easy to use and accurately adjusts a pattern when using a different weight yarn or from just using gauge and measurements. I have used it with many projects and do not know what I would do without it! Highly recommend it, so worth the $5!
  • Took a while to figure out

I like this app although it took me awhile to figure out how to use it. Still don't understand the "repeats" part of it. Might make more sense once I'm more familiar with knitting.
