Version History of Knitamus

3.3.2

February 3, 2023

You can now move text notes to different rows if you need to! When editing the note, tap the '↑↓' in the title bar and you'll be guided through moving your note (and any others that are part of its repeating group). Also fixed a few crashes, especially for iCloud sync.

More

3.3.1

November 24, 2021

A fix for the Feedback screen so that you can see the navigation buttons on iOS 15. A fix for iCloud sync to avoid a race condition when syncing after a long time of no communication with the server.

More

3.3

November 18, 2021

Knitamus now supports iPad multitasking, so you can have your knitting in one part of the screen and any other app alongside it. Also includes visual improvements for iOS 15 and a couple bug fixes for the chart repeat editor.

More

3.2

September 17, 2021

Knitamus has an Apple Watch app again! This time, it runs independently of the phone app and uses your iCloud account to share data with your other devices. You can also use it as a simple counter without iCloud. Plus bug fixes for the main app: - crash fix in the chart repeat editor specific to some iPhone sizes - tapping "done" when you've entered a repeat count in the chart repeat editor will now dismiss the keyboard instead of dismissing the whole editor

More

3.1.2

January 29, 2021

Small improvement to sync, handling edge case with Ravelry and iCloud sync together.

3.0.2

January 9, 2021

Updates to improve syncing with Ravelry and iCloud together and to make sync logs easier to email. Set the status bar content to dark so that it is easier to read. Fixed an issue where the current pattern page in the chart window might not carry over between launches. Fixed an issue where the notes area could be slightly too small when the project first opened. Fixed an issue where the highlight might not be in the right place when the project first opened. Fixed an issue where pieces without names were always labeled "First Piece". Now they show the correct number!

More

3.0.1

October 2, 2020

A few key bug fixes: Fixes an issue where the all notes and all chart rows editors could have their information disappear if scrolled too far too fast. The infinite scroll illusion is a little less smooth, but notes and charts don't do that very unsettling (even if temporary) vanishing act anymore. Fixes an issue where tapping "Show Sync Logs" on the iPad wouldn't do anything. Adding a note in the all notes editor and then backing out without typing anything no longer leaves an empty note hanging around. And some helpful updates: The Help option in Settings now goes to the dedicated Knitamus Guide page instead of to the Knitamus promo page. Shows placeholder text "Name This Project" in the titlebar of the working view when a project has no name yet. Tap that to name or rename the project. (The date the project was created will still show in place of its name on the main projects screen.) The photo context menu (touch and hold a photo in the project details view) now includes an option to view information on where a photo is being fetched from if it hasn't been fetched yet.

3.0

September 25, 2020

This major release offers a new look, with more contrast and larger fonts for easier reading, as well as a more responsive layout that takes full advantage of the iPad's larger screen. I hope you love it! Working with patterns and charts is now much easier. It's easier to choose the pages you want to use, easier to set highlights for many rows at once, easier to create, visualize and edit repeats. Best of all, you will never again get a pop up asking if you might be repeating something! Text notes are better, too, and now have their own area of the screen instead of being inside the counter button. Repeating notes have a visual indicator of where you are in the repeat cycle. The overview of all notes is easier to understand and use. Sync has also been completely rewritten and many bugs fixed. The new system also means it will be easier to diagnose and fix additional problems that may crop up, so definitely let me know if you run into any trouble. You now have more control over your Ravelry connection. You can choose to sync all your projects or just your works in progress and you can change whether the Knitamus badge shows on your profile at any time. Keeping the screen on while you’re knitting is now an optional feature (available in the Settings tab). Finally, the watch app has been removed until it can be rewritten to fit the new sync system. Thank you for your patience!

Price History of Knitamus

Description of Knitamus

Maybe you're the kind of knitter that always has things in order. You'd love nothing better than to set up each row of a pattern before you even cast on. Or maybe you're the type that dives in with abandon... but would love a lifeline to easily get started again, no matter how long that shawl or hat or intricate baby sweater has been lost in the bottom of your bag. Either way or somewhere in between, Knitamus is designed for you. Each Knitamus project can have as many pieces as you need (for sleeves, front, and back, for instance). And each piece has a single counter so you always know which row you're on. Easily display as many PDF pages or chart photos as you need in the special chart window with an adjustable highlight bar that remembers each row. You can quickly page through to set the highlight for every row before you even start, including repeating highlights, or you can just get started and each row will be remembered as you go in case you knit it again. Easily add notes, repeating or not, to any row at any time. iCloud sync allows you to work on your iPhone when you're out and about, or enjoy the larger space of your iPad when it's available. The Ravelry connection keeps your photos and project status up-to-date automatically. The Apple Watch app will display notes and repeat information for current projects found in your iCloud account, or you can use it as a simple counter without iCloud. I hope you enjoy Knitamus! Please share the love by leaving a review on the App Store and contact me by email with any questions or concerns. Happy knitting! ************************ Knitamus is designed and built by an avid knitter, with gratitude for ideas and support from wonderful knitting friends. • Every Knitter’s Must Have!

Knitamus is a must-have for every knitter I know. It helps me keep track of where I’m at in my project, and the developer has thought of everything!

I’ve used Knitamus for years and the new version looks completely new and modern. If you are struggling to keep track of your repeats, row counts or notes, I can’t recommend Knitamus enough. It is a stable app too, and the developer support is very responsive.

  • Love Knitamus

I have been using this app for years. It’s great in every way. When Shannon did the update a few days ago I was so excited until I couldn’t figure anything out! I emailed her and she was fantastic in giving me all the support I needed. She even made a video, which helped me. She really cares about the functionality that her app has. Thanks so much 😊

  • If you knit, you need this app

Knitamus is a great app which will connect to your Ravelry account and import your projects. You can sync all of your devices by using iCloud syncing which means no matter where you are, you can update your projects.

I create a new project and it appears in Ravelry. I added photos for my project and they appear in Ravelry as well. Keep up with your status and see it on Ravelry. Basically, Knitamus helps me keep up with my projects on Ravelry.

Do you use charts? If you do, Knitamus is the best app for charts. I imported my pattern from Ravelry (open PDF from Ravelry library and then Share to Knitamus), and added the charts to my project. Then I resized the page, so that the charts are the perfect size, and highlighted the row I’m on. The page will lock after a minute to keep you from accidentally moving your location. There is an unlock button that you tap to move to your next row. I love this app for charting.

Does your project have a lot of repeats? Knitamus can help you keep track of them.

I really like Knitamus and recommend it for all knitters. It’s really helped me keep track of my Ravelry projects. Whereas before Knitamus, I would just update Ravelry every few months. Knitamus makes it seamless.
