It was fixed many years ago. (Sorry for the problem. Please email CameraFTP support directly for technical issues.) CameraFTP viewer app is available on all platforms. You can use our web browser based viewer. Just log on to www.cameraftp.com, then go to My Cameras page. You can also download the image or video files to your local computer and play them locally.

We have improved the app a lot. Please try the latest version. It supports fast play mode, and the motion alerts should work fine. To reduce the download/wait time, please configure your IP cameras to upload smaller video files (e.g. limit each video clip file to less than 10MB, or even 3MB if possible). You can also log on to www.cameraftp.com and use our browser based viewer. It offers more advanced viewing features, e.g. you can increase/decrease the play speed by a factor of up to 16 times. Lastly, you can download the recorded image/video files to your local computer and view them locally.

Sorry for our late reply... but the bug had been fixed many many years ago. If you encounter any problem, please contact CameraFTP support. A problem is usually fixed in a few days. Please also note CameraFTP is a leading cloud recording / Home & Business Monitoring service provider. This app is one of the viewer apps only. It is free and it is not required. You can use any web browser to view your cameras; you can also use our viewer app for Android and Windows. You can download your footage using any FTP client program such as FileZilla and view the video locally. Note you need to have a camera uploading footage to CameraFTP before you can use this app to view the camera. CameraFTP supports image recording and video recording. Most users use IP cameras or DVRs; but if you have a spare smartphone/tablet, you can use it as an IP camera by installing CameraFTP Mobile Security Camera app. If you have a spare PC, you can use it as a CCTV DVR system, saving the cost of a DVR.

CameraFTP cloud recording service was launched in 2012. Initially, we focused on supporting IP camera recording and web browser based viewer. Sorry for the problem. The CameraFTP Viewer has been improved dramatically since then, and our web browser based viewer is even more powerful now.

Saves thousands of images to device

Thank you for reporting the problem, and sorry for our late reply... CameraFTP Viewer app does not save images or videos on your device unless you explicit tap to save images/videos. I guess you mean our Mobile Security Camera app? That app can use your smartphone or tablet as a cloud-recording IP camera. If there was a bug, it had been fixed many many years ago. If you have any problem, the best way is to contact CameraFTP support via email or phone. A problem is usually fixed in just a few days. CameraFTP is a cloud recording service provider. We offer cloud storage to IP cameras and DVRs. So there is no need to save images or videos on your device. The Mobile Security Camera app will only cache some images/video clips on your device. But most of the files will be uploaded to CameraFTP cloud and removed from your local device. Neither the Viewer app nor the Mobile Security Camera app is required to use our service. Most users use real IP cameras or DVRs. They can view the camera using any web browser. Just log in to www.cameraftp.com and they can view their cameras online. If you have an old/spare smartphone or tablet, you can use it as an IP camera and save the cost of an IP camera; if you have a spare PC/laptop, you can use it as a CCTV DVR system by installing CameraFTP VSS software. A problem is usually resolved in just a few days. App crash is rare. Occasionally we might release a buggy version, such problem is almost always fixed within a couple days. Excellent easy to use app
I have been using the app often and reliably for months however the iOS7 update seems to have made the image viewing a little unreliable. When I am scanning across the days pictures many of them do not appear. Normally these appear briefly and the software skips on to the next image. This does not appear to happen any more adn the screen is left blank. The web site interface does not suffer the problem however I dont find that as easy to use. If the iOS app could be fixed then that would be great restoring the app to 5 out of 5. Thanks.
