This app and company maybe the worse company to ever work for. Read the reviews, I’ve truck drove for 8 years and this is by far the worst place you could ever work. Not only disappointed but all it does is waste your time while paying you less than crumbs. STAY FAR AWAY

Great experience
New to the 5F OTR app- but it has been incredibly easy to use. Between the app, and their logistics team, I’ve had an overall great experience. My advice would be to disregard some of these reviews, and give it a try yourself. I guarantee that you end up pleasantly surprised.

I had high hopes. Not the case. Spent a whole Saturday going to a hotel meet and greet. During recruiting I was told this is an app that connects direct shippers to carriers eliminating the broker. They are a broker by the nature of the business and the law. I was not connected with any direct shippers. They have one big customer, CHEP, and it’s basically their dispatch service for CHEP giving you no choice in loads. And if you are not watching the app constantly while on a “hitch” you might miss a dispatch and they will punish you with their points system essentially taking money from you. It’s is supposed to be artificial intelligence aligning the proper load with the proper driver to increase efficiency. They system cannot keep up with a driver who is on the ball. I ended up waiting on a person in instant message many times because the AI is not up to par. Then the person cusses me for not messaging them when empty, when the AI is supposed to know when I’m ready for a load. Also told it is a 6 day work week at the meet and greet but woke up this morning, Sunday, and had been penalized for declining a load I never saw because I thought we were off Sunday. Not organized. Much confusion after on boarding to actually working.
Don’t waste your time as I did. They are not as they advertise. And the money is not there. Worked two full 13 hr days and made $1400. I should be doing that much in one day. Not two.

Terrible app, glitchy, do not use

Great loads and even better value. These guys are great. The app is amazing!!
Come Work for free!
They promise you sky is the limit. 40% above the market, next day pay. 7.5 dispatch. You’re way better off somewhere else because you won’t be making from here the way the run things. They let you run enough to pay their expenses.
Dispatch: By far the worse aspect about this company. First off don’t plan on running as O/O, more like a company driver. They will book you trash loads and you will be forced to run. They don’t even wait for your approval on loads. So if you end with Broker/Live load for $1.50RPM it’s on you. Basically forced Dispatch. Quality of Loads is absolutely terrible, they just run same old stuff on DAT. Dispatchers aren’t professional at all seem to be inexperienced.
Management: They have no idea about what it means to be an O/O or run a truck business. They don’t care about you or your truck. Everything is their way or the highway. Absolutely no respect for you. They are dishonest people, they will tell one thing and do the complete opposite. If you end over here please write down things and document even if it’s a text message.
Pay: Potential O/O if you want to work for free this is the place. They have gazillion things they charge every single time. That next day pay is very Inaccurate. More like 5 days easily. By the you get paid, it will be about 10% or less of what you earned. Everything is overpriced. No. If you want settlements hit me up.
Positives: The best aspect about this company is the onboarding process. A women named Lynn works at that department and she is so awesome. She makes the entire process smooth and easy, but she isn’t an accurate representation of this company.

Increased my Revenue/truck and helps me manage my fleet
Really happy with this service and this company. These guys are the real deal. They send me the highest paying loads based on my preferences (min $/mile, states I don’t like to run in, commodities I won’t haul, etc.) and my tour request of where I need a load out and when I need to get home. When I approve loads for my tour, 5F Tours negotiates, books, and dispatches the loads on my behalf.
They also give me an owner’s portal where I can view my fleet KPI’s (avg cost/mile for the week, revenue/week, location and performance of each truck/driver in my fleet), and they take care of all of the back office and billing on my behalf, and provide a billing portal so I have all of the info accessible when needed.
They give me 24/7 support and the app is really easy to use, my drivers like it and they aren’t the most tech-savvy guys. These guys actually do put owners and drivers first. I’m a believer.
