Rotto Swim

This version contains improvements to the visibility of OFFICIAL and RESCUE boats on the Map included in the app. A boat icon is now used for these boats and the name of the boat has been added to a label that appears below the position.

This version contains minor bug fixes and additions, including Icon Vessel markers at the 1500m mark and the 18km mark and an event icon added to the bottom of the map. Additional privacy improvements allow a user to test the app such that other users cannot view their location, prior to the event day.

This version introduces a revised technique for loading Custom Routes from the Routes view. To load a custom route you need to save the GPX file containing the route onto a files location either on an iCloud Drive or locally on your device. You can then load the GPX file into the app via a new "Custom Routes" button at the top of the Routes view.

New in this version is a fix to the custom GPX loading feature which makes it work with GPX files created from the Route Optimisation Tool. These GPX files encode the route as Track rather than a Route. This version will load either a track or a route from a GPX file shared with the app.

No functional changes in this release just a correction to the app store listing where 5.8 inch screenshots where showing snapshots of the old app. The only way to change this is via an app update.

This version has no functional changes it is just an update to try and update the app store app listing, which has some old screen snapshots for some of the screen sizes. The only way to update these is with a new release.

This version fixes an issue with the name of the app which was showing as MapSwim in some of the app store listing entries rather than the intended Rotto Swim. In all other respects the app version is identical

This version is completely revamped with new Rottnest Channel Swim branding, new Radio Log feature which shows push notifications sent to the app during the event, and the ability to load a custom route specific to a swimmers pace and experience.

This release has enhanced Rottnest Channel Swim route information including boat holding areas and more accurate start and finish areas on the map. This release has been rewritten using Swift and in the process has become more stable and reliable and also looks better on higher resolution devices. Improvements have been made to the users control over sharing of location information withe clearer details of how the app will be using location. Many other minor improvements have been made, for example the swimmer icons are now larger so that the numbers can be more easily read. This release also fixes an issue for some users where the app showed a black screen. Another issue where the map updated too frequently has also been fixed.
