  • Great program!

I bought this program on my iPad several years ago. I work full time, and give violin lessons in the evenings. I have two community orchestras, one adult and one youth, that I direct. I am a member of a band that plays gigs on mostly weekend evenings. I am also involved in my church. Needless to say, I am very busy. At the time I bought it, I I did not have enough time to really sit down and learn QuickPlan in a way that would really help me. It was placed on the back burner. A few weeks ago, I came across the icon on my iPad again and decided to take the time to learn how to use its features. I’m still learning some best practices for ME, but I have to say I am obsessed! Thank you for a great productivity tool!

  • Ok for high-level/quick planning

The app provides pretty good functionality for high-level “quick planning” that can be exported to different formats. What could be better is are the options for customizing exports (to export exactly the columns you want in the order that you want them), there are no custom fields to capture data you may need for grouping or filtering and you can’t change the sequence of the columns, and the URL fields that are provided don’t support call-back links so you can’t link to content in other apps on your iPad (for example to an EverNote note or a NotePlan note, etc.). Last, you can’t hide the gantt view - so there is no option to just work in a tabular format. I can see the app being used for initial planning but I could not see myself effectively running a complex project given the functionality limitations.

  • This app is really Pro

This app actually made for pro users who seek simple interface and Easy to use.
  • Made my Work-life easier

Creating project plan is so much easier with using QuickPlan. I don’t think I can be as efficient in planning using other tools and applications. I highly recommend this app.
  • Great App But One Thing Missing

I enjoy using this app. It is user friendly and there are a lot of tutorials to help expand your horizon. Unfortunately there is not a way to export a specified date range within a larger schedule. It is capable of doing so from desktop but not from IPad. I work in the field and all of my correspondence is done through my IPad. This would be the perfect program if it had that function.

  • Best project app period.

Finally a project management app, that you can actually use. I was trying many other apps. My attempts was often cut short due to overly complicated steps to create a simple project, let alone to manage it. Well, thanks to Hao Li, that has changed. Took me less than an hour to get my first project up and running. Even more, I have never done project management work in my life and after a month of using it, my projects are in top notch shape. If you pair it with the Mac version of the app, the things are getting even better. If I have to make a recommendation, I would encourage you to develop a PC version of the app. Thank you and keep up the good work!

Thank you for choosing QuickPlan Apps. We are currently still focusing on improving the app for Apple platforms, and we will think about the plan for Windows after most of the features in the will list are completed.
  • Critical shortfalls - not a serious tool

App looks good and the user interface works well. Unfortunately the scheduling logic is sorely lacking some basic features for a project management tool.

First, while the app allows you to assign resources to a task, it doesn’t prevent you from having multiple simultaneous tasks all using the same resource. App provides no indication that there’s a conflict, and no way to auto-schedule activities to remove the conflict.

Second, the app does not respect task dependencies. If you create a two tasks and make one a predecessor of the other then the app won’t properly enforce start-before-finish when start or duration changes, and won’t remove float if predecessor duration shortens or task finishes early. Critical path calculations become meaningless.

Third, app assumes that you have a known start and want to compute the finish. No provision to specify end and compute latest start date. No way to set tasks to start as early as possible vs. start as late as possible.

Finally, metrics and project stats are really lacking. No float computation or reporting. Poor resource usage metrics.

It’s okay if you are satisfied with manually managing task dependencies and resource conflicts. But don’t expect the app to create an optimal (or even feasible) project schedule for you, or to report when your handcrafted schedule is unworkable.

Many thanks for the comments. There is an option for the user to specify whether the successor task must be postponed (to respect the dependency on the task). You can find the options in the "..." menu in the open project. QuickPlan also provides a different style of task linking for natural use. QuickPlan supports changing the project start date very easily. Just set a date and if needed you can change the start date of the whole project by clicking on the project name in the toolbar. The exported Excel file contains three sheets - two sheets are for resource usage. And we have provided free apps for resource allocation report for Mac users, you can check the details at https://quickplan.app/tools. Thank you very much!
  • Real good for affordable price. Definitely will recommend.

Thank you for your comments to help enhancing the app in the last years. We received your first 1-star review in Mar 2017, and then nine months later, and now. Thank you for using the best project planning app and your comments in the last years. Would you please help use the "iOS Files app integration" on your iPad to access the iCloud Drive file? QuickPlan supports integrating with the iOS Files app for iCloud Drive access; please check the second video at https://quickplan.app/documents/ios/user-manual/sync/icloud iCloud Drive sync is coordinate by the system, NOT by the app. As said in the guide, the iCloud Drive Sync is coordinate by the iCloud system (via iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and iCloud Server); the app has no control over it. If you have a problem with the iCloud Drive sync, we suggest you check it in the iOS Files app. ================ Following the old response from us for your preview review comment: ================ Thank you for using the app in the last 9 months (we saw this review from you at Mar 2017). ----- We believe app quality is the most important value to the users - the key focus of us and other developers! ----- It's effortless to send us a ticket inner the app. It will be helpful to hear from you for the details. ----- 1. The app is designed well, very stable and smooth. ----- 2. (Plus sub-project) 8 outline levels should be enough for most of the projects. ----- 3. Checking the MS Project Schedule Templates, normally the total outline level is about 3 or 4 - they are for real business. ----- 4. And QuickPlan supports to organize the tasks in the real task groups and real sub-projects, to help to organize tasks better and efficiently.
