Fix The Notifications

The app is generally very good and useful for our club. The one issue that causes me the most problems is the notifications. A notification comes and I get the red badge on the app icon. I read and delete the notification and close the app. Next time I open my phone I have a red badge on the app icon and so open the app. However there is no notification. Apparently the red badge didn’t get removed when the previous notification was deleted. It’s got to the point where I ignore the notification badges and so miss many real notifications. Please fix this.

Good app functionality but… frustrating too!

One request: PLEASE remove the FULL SCREEN ADs when navigating around the app!
Totally understand that the developers need to make money off the app and the option of “pay to remove ads” or “ad supported” suits different users, but the full screen ads totally break my train of thought when trying to organise sporting team stuff which is over the top frustrating.
Banner ads are far less obtrusive to the user experience.
If you’re going to persist with full screen ads then *please* make it so they only pop up at the start/end of a session, or when changing between teams so they don’t disrupt the users thought process.

So so buggy and slow. Can’t be relied on.

For an App which is 95% about notifying and updating its so slow to refresh, keeps the red dots showing when all messages or updates are read and keeps kicking me so so I continually have to log back in. I wouldn’t go near this if my club wasn’t using it already.

New Review: I was happy to see all of the feature updates and some of the recommended updates. Would still like to at least see the recurring option of “yearly” added. This would help with birthdays and events that happen annually on the same day. Right now the highest is monthly. Thanks!

Original Review: I was one of the first adopters of this app and have enjoyed seeing it grow to where it is at today. With that being said it is missing some of the basic features if it wants to compete with Team Snap. 1. Ability to see how many have viewed “News” (analytics) 2. Add the ability to input game specific in formation like uniform and court/field. 3. Calendar should have a yearly option for birthdays. Where are the updates???

Notifications

When notifications come in and I click on that, it just opens the app to the last page that I was on. Typically a notification would or should trigger the app to open that notification. When something comes in I never know where it is so I don’t feel like this app is user-friendly at all. I don’t know if this is an event coming up or if it is a chat or if it is something posted in the news and the team has three coaches and they all use this app in different ways and I never can’t find the new information so notification comes in and I click on it. I would like it the actual notification. if a coach posts in the chat, then I would like to go straight to the chat if the coach posts an event, then I went to click on that notification, and it actually opened the event instead of just open the homepage of the app.

Frustrating to use

How many times did I write a message in the chat, only to have ‘updating’ appear, and then my message disappear? Too many times!

Constant Logout

Can’t stand it constantly logging me out. Even if only 30 minutes, I have to login again. Extremely annoying. There is nothing on this app that needs to be THAT secure. Please fix this.

Now hard to keep up with new posts from each team.

I have 4 boys. Each child plays 3-5 different sports. That is potentially 17 different teams. A few use different apps and a few have the same team app group, but my point is it’s a lot to keep up with. My husband also coaches some teams. The newest major update made it very difficult to keep up with each team individually. Some teams I have to monitor closely, some can wait a little while. Now the app lumps all notifications together and does not put a notification dot on the main screen on the team with an unread post. If I get a ton of notifications, I have to go into each team individually to see if there is a new post. It’s too easy to miss a notification/new post now. Please, if you change nothing else, put a notification dot on each team with a new post on the main screen. I also don’t like how the teams are listed horizontally now requiring a slide to the side at the top instead of the traditional scroll.

It’s ok, but hard to feel the love

It does work, but the design is very basic, inconsistent, parts follow Apple and Google design guidance, other parts don’t, feels like it’s been cobbled together. I just had to go through the password reset/ login link process and it took 3 attempts before it worked. I do pay the small annual fee to get rid of the adverts to make it a bit nicer, that’s deffo worth doing, not least to give the developers some money rather replying in ads.

So many bugs

I am amazed the rating is this high, the backend is great for administrators but the user interface for the majority of users is absolutely horrible. It was really bad when it first came out. Then got a bit better but was still bad and after the recent update it is terrible, worse than the first iteration.

So buggy, notifications appear but you don’t know where they are when you open the app and look at your teams so you have to go to notifications.

Even if on the rare occasion there is an alert on the team or club where the notification is you can’t clear them without going into notifications and marking them as read. Even then that takes multiple attempts - closer to 5 than 2. The amount of time wasted trying to find and then clear notifications is ridiculous.

We try support it but that lasts about 2 or 3 weeks and then communication with the team reverts to WhatsApp or something else because TeamApp isn’t worth the pain.

The benefits of this app are quickly slipping behind the cost and pain.
