The best - except
This app is the best IMO of the apps like this to help with sports teams. Things just work properly - you can put directions to the games and it links to maps, you can put in schedules and the chat has full feature functionality unlike some alternatives.
However, the monetization in this app is greedy and gross. If we did things the way the app is designed, we’d be paying multiple dollars per month, per team. Not to mention a few more on the team member end just to get rid of ads. Considering that everyone wants free reign to hit your wallet repeatedly these days, I’d be broke if I did everything like this. Many, many features are locked behind the paywall, including availability and even having more than 15 on the roster. But even if you pay, your roster is still capped at 25 until you go up yet another tier. Notifications are buggy - you usually have to click out of the screen you’re on to reset them because ads are generated when you change screens.
TL;DR - they’re the best around. Unfortunately they know it. When I have more than 15 players I use an alternative and just live with it.Show lessDifficult to use and no service to help
Household invitations from a household organizer are sent via email. Household invite clicks on the link and forwarded to login in prompt. If invite creates an account and searches for invitation the result is “sorry unable to find invitations” . If invite logs in with household organizer user name and password they see the organizers invitation — no way to accept by invite to household. An endless un useful circle. All self help articles do not address household adds, only how to add to team. Found a self article on their site regarding a family member and the link is broken not working. Chat with a rep is hours long wait. Email is faster but will respond in a “couple of hours”. No response as of yet..
App is not intuitive and lacks user directions and instructions.
Team invitation process is just as un useful. Team invitations never arrive in junk mail or inbox. When searching for invitation on team snap site on laptop or app using your registered email for the team that includes all emails of the household joining / registered it prompts a message that it recognized your email but no invitation has been sent after multiple invitations have been sent!
We’ve spent six days 2-3 hours a day trying to fix the issue with no help from team snap.Show lessIntentionally deceptive to take your money
I have been using TeamSnap for years both as a parent and as a coach. As a coach, this spring, I want to add availability options so I could see who is going to be there. I upgraded my account in April. the season just ended, and I wanted to downgrade my account for lack of the need to check availability. I went in the application and looked at account/subscriptions. It did not show that I had any subscriptions or memberships. I thought that was weird, but that was what the account screen was showing. This morning I woke up and saw a charge for the monthly fee on my account. I looked around and realized that you had to log into the website on a browser in order to see the memberships. oh, and of course they won’t refund even though it happened this morning. Why wouldn’t they put that information in the mobile app which is what people use 99% of the time? This is completely deceptive. The fact that they don’t refund even though it is clear I have not used the app for the availability purpose (just updated today) is absolutely ridiculous and clearly trying to take advantage of people. I am going to look elsewhere when it comes to tracking my own personal team. I will not give them another cent.Show less
