They don’t care

I’ve been a customer for 5 years. We have two accounts with them. MONTHS ago the notifications stopped working. I have called them numerous times and explained what’s going on, what I see, what I’ve done, deleted, reinstalled, edited settings, etc etc etc. I work in IT, I know the drill. Never, NEVER has anyone called me back. I’m now waiting for a call back from the last call I made, over 3 weeks ago, which I’m guessing is never coming. The last lady I spoke with sounded promising, sigh, and even told me she’s had other customers complain that they aren’t receiving the notifications either. I told her I first reported this back in April, notifications stopped working in March. If anyone had called me then they would have known they had an issue. At this point I’m cancelling my account and contacting my financial institution about the monthly fees I’ve been paying for months for services that they not only can’t/won’t fix, but they don’t even have the etiquette to contact their customers about. I’ve done my part to try and assist and reconcile the issue. They refuse to be of service. At this point I’m blatantly just being taken advantage of.

Notifications Not Working

Since last update notifications are not working.

Unable to view app

I am unable to view the app on my phone since the app was updated two days ago.

No longer reliable

I’ve had these devices in my vehicles for 3 years. It used to be very accurate down to the parking space. I would get notifications in real time. This is no longer the case. I don’t get notifications until the vehicle has been out for 45 mins to and hour. Talked into getting an updated device and still have the same problems. I also get notifications that the car is moving long after it’s parked in the garage. It also goes offline for no reason. Looking into another company. Tired of wasting my money. This has been going on for too long.

Latest update seems to have a glitch

Ever since the latest update 6 days ago (date of this review is 26-Mar-2021), the app has failed to notify me of any alerts about 50% of the time the vehicle is being used. Further, the satellite tracking is also failing in the app itself at about 50% of the time. When I know the vehicle is being driven, the app will about half the time not show near-real-time GPS location; in fact one day in the past 6 days it showed it still parked at the home location even though I know it was being driven at that time. When I use the website on a PC I’m able to get the current information, though. So there’s a disconnect somewhere between the app and the actual MOTOsafety database.

Practically Useless App - Great Device

Please go back to the old app - I would at least given that 3 stars. The old app had a huge number of bugs but was at least useful to track your kid, find out where he had just driven from, etc. Then they went to an app with a nice appearance - but is 98% useless, the usability is horrible, takes way more steps to get the routes and gives I correct data. I am not sure it is worth 20 dollars a month for the device anymore due to this pathetic app.

Just publish an SDK and let us professionals write our own app for the device.

4.2 finally restored the functionality of 3.37

It only took 2 1/2 months, but they finally got the functionality of this app back to where it was before version 4 screwed everything up. I can finally track my teen again — while they are on the road — which is probably the most important feature. Took you long enough, but good job.

Went from great to barely useable

Please revert back to the previous app and anything behind the scenes related to it. Even after a few updates it just is not getting fixed. We pay for a service we can’t use. It should not have been updated until you knew the functionality was good. It is so easy to test this yet it appears it went untested. If I can’t even see the routes some days, like today, what is the point? Please revert to a working version. There are several things not working properly and I should not have to hope the vehicle history is correct along with the other bugs.

Don’t waste your money

I had this a couple years ago it was great since then they have downgraded the features. Sometimes it takes an hour to locate and or update your location. The Geo fencing feature does not work along with others that have been taken away. Keep looking for something better

Worked good at first but...

These trackers work good at first and then freeze, don’t update every minute and customer service always makes excuses saying the tracker might not be in the best location on the car. Well when they are always in the same place then it’s not the location if they works sometimes and not other times. Also when these trackers freeze it takes an hour to reset them, which defeats the whole point of the tracker.
