What a great app! So versatile, and pleasing on the eye. My son is learning to use the stylus for the iPad to learn to make letters, numbers and shapes, and you can really see him progress.davidcolly

Wow, what a magnificant writing app! It goes from simple tracing of lines and shapes through to words and has let my daughter learn at her own pace. The rewards are motivating enough but don't detract from the activity. I'd highly recommend it for anyone teaching a child to write. We love it!Jeangenie78

A great app with some useful adult control options. A clear interface - even my two year old can navigate without going off track - and the graphics and animations are stylish, clear and highly engaging. My only suggestion - a couple more font choices to achieve a closer match with handwriting fonts being taught at school and a parental control option to limit patterns, letters and words that child can choose from - to aid reinforcement and practice of letters child is currently learning, and within their ability range. It would be helpful to have the refresh, arrow symbols extra slightly more separated as it's hard for little fingers. And would also be good to hear the sound again everything you refresh.Sumaro444

Amazing game packed with options! My 3yo daughter loves playing with it and learning how to write! Colourful graphics and sounds make it interesting for younger kids. I got her a little pen for smart phones from £shop and it works a treat!Tinka_r
A lovely app that we are now fighting over.
I downloaded 2 other action type games that my daughter asked for but this app is the one we both want to play. Simple but addictive. I hear giggles with each new "stamp". Love that she can't see the full effects until she completes the letter or word. Loved that I was able to enter our own choice of words, in this case her name.Show lesshtoni
Very useful for four year old ( and grandad) used to using word wizard app
Thankyou for upgrading this app .The new graphics and drawing templates are very useful . My grandaughter is intrigued by the different sounds for numbers and letters in different languages although at four and a half she doesnt understand the reasons.
A slight problem was that in order to get the update to work properly I had to delete the app and reinstall it. This caused one problem , all of the words I had recorded were lost, not a great problem. However itbsolved another problem inthat it deleted the tracing record which was getting a bit full.
It was very good that the upgrade and replacing app were not charged.

This is a very good app for learning to read and write simple words and numerals. It is a great companion to the word wizard app which my grand daughter has been using for over a year to communicate with her uncle who is deaf.
It fully merits at least five stars,and is especially attractive since it is fully compatible with her original ipad 1.
Two suggestions for a future update.
1. An instruction on how to remove tracings history would be useful, she already has a large quantity of trial tracings that are great for following her progress, but will eventually unmanageable .
2. The lower case characters would be preferable if they were the same font as in word wizard.
Neither suggestion is critical, the app easy to use, the built in voice is pretty acccurate for characters and phonemes, and the ability to create word lists with recorded voice is excellent.

Worth every cent and I love that it is so much fun, I have been playing with it since I downloaded this app - I just remembered it was for my boys :p. I have no doubt my son, who has autism, will be all over this because the animation is awesome!! Thank you!T_Eagle
Excellent, flexible handwriting app
Both my pre-K and 1st grader enjoy using this app. I've even caught my 3rd grader watching over their shoulder! As a parent of four children, I love the flexibility. I can control the level of difficulty and the different parameters, customizing to each child's level of learning. My 1st grader can already write her letters well, but the word writing practice is perfect for both handwriting (spacing between letters when in a word) and spelling/reading of simple words. Unexpected bonus!
Also, the ability to track each kid's progress is a welcome feature.

The flexibility of this app is phenomenal compared to most kids' educational apps. I have used it for my 3 year old (learning her letters), my first grader (fine tuning handwriting), and even my third grader (practice writing spelling words)! Best of all, they LOVE using it!Show lessCabotMama
