Fun free game room for improvement
I love the added aspect of goals and coins to decorate my home and change my appearance. I wish the levels didn’t take so long. Sometimes it does seem as though the computer has the advantage. The 4 player mode doesn’t seem to be partner friendly. That’s unfortunate, because I would like to switch up the game play occasionally. I am unable to connect to online players to complete that goal. Sorry to hear someone doesn’t like the comments from the bots. I ignored them at first but then read them and thought they were really clever. My advice is if you don’t want your feelings hurt, just keep playing Mary Beth. She is an absolute delight. Makes me feel like an awesome card player. Overall nice game. With improvements I might purchase full unlock .Show lessPumpkinmunchkin2

Auto play and host friend don’t work
Love this app and have been having a great time playing it. BUT it is hugely flawed in that the “auto play” and play a friend feature simply don’t work.
Also every five games or so the game times out and counts as a loss - really frustrating when you’re winning :)
Other than that it’s great fun, and I like the way the cards are sorted and the different rule choices.Show lessHm80cvgt

We have overhauled the auto play feature in version 1.3. You can now auto play to improve your rank and earn more coins. If another player isn't available within a short window, we'll match you against a computer player. Please contact us at support@outland.com if you still experience any problems with time outs.Good

Game cheats for computer
In Canasta, you must have two cards, one of the rank on the discard pile and either a second one or a wild card. The pile for the computer allows it to pick up with only one card in the hand.
When I get the pile, it sets it in front of me until I make meld, etc before merging into my hand. It should show what the computer picks up the same way. Instead, it merges them all into their hand, with the backs to us and the cards pulled to lay down are pulled from within the pile. That does NOT follow Canasta rules.
Setting to pile frozen is not the same. You MUST have two cards to pick up, IN YOUR HAND if you don’t have them laying in front of you. You cannot use another card within the pile to count as the third card.
A frozen pile means you MUST have two cards of the same rank, IN YOUR HAND to pick up the pile.
Those are the rules of Canasta.
The star rank of three is for the lack of showing the computer’s (opponent) draw pile separate until they meet the requirements to take the pile and the awful, unadjustable slow speed of the game play.

Thanks for the feedback. There were a few bugs in version 1.0.2, related to picking up the discard pile, which were fixed in version 1.1.0. When a computer player picks up the discard pile, she will first meld the upcard with any required cards from her hand. If she continues to meld, it will be shown in a second animation. The computer player does not use a card from the discard pile to satisfy the requirements to meld the upcard.The app has never found me a casual match
I enjoy playing canasta, but I don’t have any friends who play so it would be nice to get a casual match with other app users. Maybe there just isn’t enough people who have down loaded this app. Other then that I have enjoyed playing..j.m.a
