Excellent
Does what it says on the packet. If you have set up TV Headend correctly, this just works. Picks up all the channels and the internal VLS player is superb.
Well done to the author.

Good stuff.
I really like this app. Despite numerous areas for improvement, the functionality is commendable and gives you the basics such as control over your recordings, browsing the EPG, and playing video. The internal VLC integration was a GREAT improvement.
Top three things that would greatly increase usability (none of which are easy I know):
- different transcoding options and the ability to use the server's profiles effectively if present. You really need a way to reduce bandwidth and you want to use the server to transcode. Using the client to transcode is a good idea too if bandwidth is no issue (you're at home or your home ISP can kick out good upload speeds). On the client I would like to see other containers and formats actually work but the default "transcodes on iOS" choices DO make sense and work!
- a better EPG UI. Move to a table with channels on the left and timeslots on top as is typically standard. And search right from that screen.
- if you do the EPG UI well, you don't need both the Now and Channels tabs. You need one really good filtering UI letting you narrow by channel, tag, timeslot (that can have a Now option), recents, text search, maybe even genre.
Bottom line is this little app greatly raises the value of my tvheadend setup and rivals what lots of the paid apps offer. Great job.

Just Awesome
Thank you for writing this app, I will be telling everyone I know. This just makes my home TVHeadend setup that much more awesome.
Love it!
Thank you for this great way to control TV Headend. Using the native web interface on a small screen is a complete PITA and the app makes it so much more friendly plus it makes watching live TV a breeze. Awesome!
Brilliant start
A little rough around the edges but some really top notch functionality. It's especially nice to be able to search the epg for titles, quite far in to the future, and set a future recording that way. Absolutely worth a try.
Works with transcoding on 4.1!
Just discovered tvheadend. Then found this app, works perfectly to transcode my ATSC OTA broadcasts. This worked in 2mins when trying to transcode via plex and tvheadend plugins got me no where! Nice work.
5 Stars
Works very well as advertised. Thanks for its developer and the project tvheadend.
Result
Previous version buggy. All my issues now fixed in latest release. Excellent app. Many thanks !
Fantastic
tvhclient + tvheadend + xbmc = perfect home IPTV system.
Using tvhclient I can browse the listings on my phone, send the selected programme or recording to either of my XBMC clients on AppleTV2s or watch on my phone/iPad.
Being able to schedule recordings while I'm away is invaluable too, I just VPN in to home, choose programme and hit record. Then it's waiting to view when I get back!
Great interface too...

Amazing!
This is such a great app! Now, with a cheap Raspberry Pi and a tv card, I can stream live TV to my iOS devices :)
