  • Great Oscillator

    Easy to use and precise.
  • not a music synthesis app

also, can't play one osc without the other osc. bug.
  • Oscillates

I wanted an oscillator, I got an oscillator
  • Perfect!

Does exactly what it says. Thanks!
  • Simple and direct, but not without depth

This is an awesome oscillator with loads of options, but still simple to use.
It's always useful when I need to run some types of tones through my hardware, like Monotrons or Electribes, and trigger gates and such... And it's free... so... no-brainer: get it! :D
  • please, please add a 3rd oscillator

This app is perfect for psychoacoustics experiments. The ability to play the tones dichotically is awesome! Please, if possible, add a third oscillator, so that we can explore the interaction between three tones (acoustic beats).
  • Does the job! I like it.

My new high-efficiency furnace makes a medium pitched tone when running with high fan speed. The tone is too loud if you are trying to sleep. So, I used this app and identified the frequency of the tone (1046.5 Hz). Now the installers can communicate with the factory, providing quantified data, to help diagnose and resolve the problem.

This app has three fineness controls. The red bar is coarse adjustment, the arrows on the side are fine adjustment, and if you swipe over the frequency number itself (under the red bar), it is a medium adjustment. This last adjustment is not obvious, however, is very convenient.

The app also has a noise generator.

One place the app could improve is that the two provided oscillators and one noise generator are all additive, even when the other two generators are turned off. It would be beneficial if you have the other two generators in the off position, you only hear the generator of interest. The work around if just turn the amplitude of the other generators to zero.

This is certainly a beneficial app with many uses.

  • Love hate relationship

This is great! But it needs a keyboard interface(for chords)and a filter..plus a third third oscillator. And a way to save setups .But still very useful !peace Christo
  • Very effective app

Great for testing frequency ranges of equipment. The sine wave also makes for great sub-bass effects.
  • Great minimal tone generator!

I've been looking for an app like this for some time. It's well-designed and super easy to use. Definitely worth downloading if you're looking for a no-frills way to play around different tonal combinations.
