A nasty bug

Outfits I made a few weeks ago got erased from my canvas when I exported the file as a png. App hasn’t crashed since my last review at least

Response from developer

Thank you very much for sharing this information with us. We greatly appreciate it. I want to assure you that we are committed to continuously updating and optimizing the app. I'm pleased to inform you that the PNG export bug has been fixed. Thank you once again for your feedback, and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions or concerns.

Great, could use additions tho

So clothing is super foreign to me when it comes to art, so I’m happy this app exists and its not bad so far. There are some things I feel are missing though

There’s currently no way to freeform edit articles of clothing to fit the templates or your own pose, just resize, unless I’m just not seeing settings for it

Letting us access more than just saved photos on the ipad. Most of my stuff is on Google Drive, so I’d have to save everything to my ipad, which doesn’t have a lot of space to save files. Procreate lets you access multiple areas to import from and export to, so I’d like to see that here to

Another thing procreate has is a fill layer option and selection fill, so that would be a great help for coloring in large areas

Ability to import our own brushes if that’s not yet a feature

That’s all so far! I look forward to how you improve the app even further (animation features perhaps?)

Edit: App crashes every 5 minutes

Very useful

Very useful app for fashion designers! We can always see or change the colour and fabric combinations easily and efficiently, best for presentation and save a lot of time! I love the materials brushes and default drawing details, user friendly!

Thank you so much!!

Seriously disappointed

I was a tester for the app before release and they had limited the templates there as well. Which I expected to be now the free version. I am not a pro designer so I planned on using the free version for a bit. We got some discounts for testing but only for the subscriptions. I don’t make money this is only a hobby so restricted app functions is fine.

So I downloaded the app now (it’s huge!) …. for nothing. It limits to 10 canvas which is totally ok. However ZERO bag templates are included. They had several available when I was a tester so I expected at least a few. Nope, none. So I downloaded over 1 GB for absolutely nothing.

Hello there! We want to express our gratitude for being a beta tester. The free version of the app has seen significant improvements compared to the beta version. If you find yourself in need of the bag templates urgently, maybe you can consider our monthly plan. You have the flexibility to cancel anytime, and it costs less than a cup of coffee. Your support means the world to us, as it helps sustain and fuel our ongoing efforts over the past three years. Thank you for being a part of our journey!

Like Procreate for Fashion!!

First and foremost, I LOVE the intuitive and user friendly layout. Very similar to procreate. You get basic features free and can pay for more at an extremely reasonable price. So far I am enjoying this app wayyy more than Pret-a-template. Good job, fashionary! I look forward to using this for years to come 💛☺️

Okay?

I was really excited when I heard about this app, as my past experiences using fashionary products have been amazing. Their tools are usually above and beyond in quality, so I was very disappointed to find that this app has some major quality issues. First of all, the user interface is too minimalistic in my opinion. Its kind of similar to procreates interface, but lacking detail and easy access to certain features. For example, when colour dropping in procreate, you see the colour bubble move with your stylus. However, here it just appears when you release your stylus, with no indication that you were actually moving the texture. It feels very unintuitive. I also have not been able to find a symmetry tool. I would assume their is one (given how important it is for tech packs), but it wasn’t even with the grid options, like it typically is in other design software. Every time you move/transform something. It becomes lower resolution. When you hold down your stylus after drawing a line to straighten it, there’s no option for an arc. The line also snaps into place too much during adjustments, and I haven’t found an option for more precise movements. Finally, even after downloading the update. The app still crashes every single time I use the selection tool. I’m on a very new iPad, so I know it’s not my system. I really hope they fix these issues and add some more quality of life features. I would gladly pay $50 to purchase the full version if this was a more fleshed out app. I know fashionary cares about creating good tools and products for people in the industry, so I have faith that they’ll fulfill the potential of this program.

Thank you very much for trying out the app and providing your valuable suggestions. We truly appreciate your input. Our team has been working tirelessly to enhance the app and incorporate new features. I'm happy to inform you that many of the features you suggested have already been implemented. For example, we have added a color bubble that follows the stylus when color dropping, a Symmetric tool, a drawing grid/guide, and the resolution will now remain the same if no transformations are made. Additionally, we have addressed the crashing issue. Once again, we extend our gratitude for your feedback, and we sincerely hope you'll consider giving the app another try. We're confident that you'll notice the improvements. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thank you once again!

This app needs more work

I was excited to download this app and try it but that excitement turned into confusion about what the purpose of this app. I mean you can’t even use the brushes weather it’s on a blank sheet or on one of the figure templates. On top of that you can’t even find the app on the App Store. I’ve had to keep visiting my email just to try to update the app. It’s not worth the download let alone the subscription.

Hi Reana, Thank you for giving the app a try! In the early version of the app, there is a feature called "Enable Painting with Fingers" that you need to turn on. If you haven't done so, please make sure to enable it. This function was turned on by default in the latter version. Alternatively, you can use an Apple pencil or a stylus for a better experience. We appreciate your feedback and would love for you to give the app another chance. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thank you!
