Big Time Bummer
I was super excited to see this app because I’ve been bumbling around Europe for many months and constantly looking to connect with diaspora fam.
I downloaded the app and it literally shows nothing at all on the map unless your location is in the US in which case you get a list. Even then it’s just a list of a few restaurants, and a bunch of hotels that are presumably not Black owned (Marriott, Hyatt, etc), scattered across the state(s).
You can’t see other users, you can’t search in specific areas, the “events” link links to articles about regional history as opposed to actual events you can attend, or to blogs from the website of which there are 4. Nearest restaurants to me are at least 4,000 kilometers away.

Needs work
I have been so excited for this app so when I got the email notification that it was ready I was excited. But the app is lagging, I can’t search places. I’ll be optimistic and say it’s just working the bugs out but it needs to be fixed. I’ll leave a better review after thatBuybaer
A fantastic resource!
I find this to be a fantastic resource for supporting black-owned businesses and am already using it! i do prefer to toggle between list view and map view on resources like this so would love to see list view added in an upcoming update 😍Privacy features don't work
