Description of GT eToken

GT eToken Application Description (About this app) The GT eToken is a mobile application for generating One Time Passwords (OTPs) used in authenticating electronic transactions. A one-time password (OTP) is a secure and automatically generated string of characters that authenticates the user for login and/or electronic transaction completion. Electronic transactions include (but may not be limited to) web, internet banking and mobile banking transactions, where you are required to enter a 6-digit token-generated code. A one-time password (OTP) generated from your GT eToken App can be used as an alternative to or alongside the GTBank hardware token device. Activating Your GT eToken app To activate your GT eToken app, select your customer type and choose your preferred activation method, which can be the use of your Bank card, Hardware Token or by calling contact center to get an authorization code. Your data ID will be verified to complete the activation. Using Your GT eToken app: Once your app is activated, you can create a unique 6-digit Passcode that will be used for subsequent log in to the application and enjoy 24/7 banking. You can find more information about GT eToken on www.gtbank.com or contact GTCONNECT contact center on 080 2900 2900 or 080 3900 3900. Reviews of GT eToken

  • Bad app

    Most useless app. It worked once and never work again requested you to reactivate but never reactivated.
  • Terrible App

    I used to like GTB, but it’s really sad how they’ve fallen from grace to grass in the past few years. I can’t even confidently login with the home of completion. I’ve have my final straw though, next time I get to Nigeria, I’m definitely ditching them.
  • Can’t activate token again after update

    Update 14 May 2024
    Still same issue. Cannot activate eToken since last update. This has been since April 22, 2024 and counting… May 22 will make it one month. Will update again by May 22, 2024

    ====================

    April 22, 2024
    Once again, another update and same issue to activate the token. Keeps giving error: “Failed. Onboarding limit exceeded”. What does that even mean. This is second time after an update that the same issue arises with inability to log in.
