That was dumb
Im trying a second review cause it erased my first one.
This was not at all useful unless you are a 2yo learning basic emotions. Thought this was recommended to me I feel like it was a pointless waste of time.
It couldnt guess one emotion right… yes i said guess cause i could write emotions on a dart board and ge a more accurate reading.
If this does work for you can i suggest reading tea leaves next.

love it but too bright
i love this app so much, and i can tell so much thought went into this into making this genuinely helpful for neurodivergent folks like me. it’s so helpful for getting a handle on my emotions when i feel like i have no idea what i feel in the moment. i ESPECIALLY struggle with figuring out what my bodily sensations say about my emotional state, so i confuse different emotions at times with each other. but this app definitely helps with that.
however i just have one small complaint— i don’t see a setting to change the app to dark mode, and i would really appreciate that because the bright white really hurts my eyes.

Thoughtfully designed
Thank you for publishing this resource
This app is very helpful
I know a lot of people with autism use this. But ever since my injury I had a hard time figuring out what I was feeling. This app has been helping me by identifying my physical reactions and helping me match them up with a word. I cannot wait for future features that they have planned.
The best app ive ever used in my life
I cannot recommend enough. As someone who struggles with emotional dysregulation this has been exponentially helpful for me, as well as my family. I think all people can benefit from using this app. And to the developers- thank you so much truly this app is life changing. I cant give enough stars
Exactly what I need
Cannot recommend this enough. Just downloaded it. Do it!
Amazing
Not much else I can think to say besides that this is exactly what I’ve been looking for, for quite a while, definitely give it a try couldn’t recommend enough
Very neat tool!
This is such a great idea! My only reason for 4 stars is that I don’t think I could recommend it to my child/teen clients. I think they would be too distracted by some of the pictures. Since the images of people don’t have clothes- I worry that they would feel like they are seeing breasts in some pictures

It feels like a generous gift
When I opened the app I was a little confused, but this team created a thorough video linked on the main view that takes the user through all the app’s features. Everything made sense after watching it. It’s still challenging for me to use, but only because I struggle with the very thing this app is meant to help users understand and improve. While logging my first unknown emotion, I found out three things:
1. The app flow has a wealth of information but helps narrow down emotions before asking the user to figure out how they feel so i felt much less overwhelmed than I would normally. The development team clearly put a lot of thought into how to make an app legitimately useful to people who struggle with understanding their emotions.
2. This app should compliment my therapy sessions really well because I am usually using generic and simple words to describe my emotions. With Animi, I’ll have specific emotions already identified and the journal prompts will make my notes much more useful. This should give my therapist something more specific to help me through.
3. Information is presented and organized in a much better fashion than an emotional color wheel and doesn’t require that the user know what the emotion words mean. I can take my time, tap on words I don’t recognize, and learn what different emotions are and their accompanying signs and symptoms.
This app should in no way be free, but I’m really grateful that it is. I highly recommend it for anyone who struggles with alexithymia or autism.
