Get that cinematic film look to your images.
Dehancer is a fantastic app, its film emulation engine is fantastic. More recently I’ve been using Dehancer more and more in my editing work flow. It helps give my images a more cinematic and film like look. The way it emulates halation and bloom is fantastic. It truly sells the look of film like photos. The other thing that stood out to me was the way it added grain it was done algorithmically also giving you full control over everything parameter. Each category of edits also has a huge amount of control so you can dial in the exact look you’re going for. But if quick and speed is of the game The Dehancer have loaded in some amazing presets that in most cases are a one click use. Creating bold and striking looks that do truly replicate the main characteristics of film. Being able to use Dehancer on the move is perfect for my workflow.

Love the color, but need works
As a huge fan of Dehancer, I love having this standalone app that works on both iPad and Mac. It's great to have all the features in one place. However, like many users, I think there should be an option for an imported gallery and/or a batch processing function. Now that it's a standalone app, it's no longer limited by plug-in constraints. For inspiration, the developers could look at apps like Filmhwa and Hypic, which allow batch editing of 9 photos at a time, or Lightroom mobile and Lensa, which support gallery views. I understand this would require significant UI/UX changes, but as your biggest fan and a corporate app beta tester, I believe this should be a top priority for improvement.

Perfection at the palm of your hands
Dehancer has really hit it out of the park with this app, it allows you to edit your pictures and videos straight from your device to get the great Film Look everyone is trying to achieve!

The “look” I’ve always wanted
First I want to say I come from using davinci resolve and the Dehancer plug in over there is simply amazing! This app is installed on my iPad Pro 2nd gen and it runs great for being an older iPad. The same looks can be achieved as the davinci plug in but on a mobile platform. Really awesome app well worth it in my opinion.

Dehancer is No.1 for film emulation. Period
I use dehancer for video on premier pro and now on my iphone for photos. It truly has a substantial amount of choices. These are not just LUTs that you slap of. Each one is customisable to nail the look you want. For film emulation this really ads character to your photos. If like me you love the film look but dont want to invest into film cameras or paying for film development this really is your top choice.

Amazing app
Made a lot of film look images within seconds with this app. So easy to use and really great for film emulations. I particularly love the fuji looks. Would highly recommend for anyone who is serious about film emulation on the go. Has intuitive controls too for fine adjustments including halation. Just bear in mind the app does come at a cost if wanting to go for the full version.

Excellent color grading on the go
I am not gonna lie. I already love Dehancer as a desktop app, but sometimes I’m out and about and would like to edit on my phone and get something out quickly. This really fill that void. It is amazing app with all the attributes I find the desktop program. it is a little bit of a challenge on a smaller phone screen and must be much better on an iPad, but that’s the only downside. Well worth it in my opinion.

Good app, a little finicky but probably the best film emulation app around
Edited review: leaving my original review for reference, but I just found a workaround that solved my issue. Exporting the original clip at 60fps from the app I used to edit it fixed the issue (even though the original footage was shot at 30fps) No idea if the problem is on Dehancer’s end or the other editing app, but yeah, seems to be resolved.
Original review: I just spent half an hour trying to export a simple 10 second clip; a 1080p, 30fps video that I recorded on my Sony a7iv and cut together in a different video editing app. No matter what I do, it will not play back at the correct frame rate and worse, it will not export at the correct frame rate either. I tried simply importing the clip into Dehancer and exporting it without applying any adjustments and it rendered it at 20fps. Applying a simple filter causes the rendered frame rate to drop to 15fps. What’s more frustrating is that it’ll play and export any other 4k video without issues, but a 1080p one appears to be too much if its not straight out of camera

Very realistic film emulation, made some footage look like Super 8, what more could you ask for? Love it. I use the iPad version but since I work primiarily in Lightroom and Luma fusion on mobile is there a way to get this as a plugin rather than standalone to not export twice and loose image quality ?
