  • Great organizer!

This is a well designed easy to use time-blocking app that has enough features to make a thoughtful plan but not so many as to slow down your thoughts.

Thanks for your review! Best regards, Gabriel.

  • Good but doesn't fit

I cancelled my trial because it doesn't fit what I need.

I'll definitely be back If you add the ability to drag/drop lists into the calendar, or just the ability to add lists as an event.

Right now I have to shedule every task seperately (which is fine and a good feature) but I want to be able to just add a task to a list and not have to shedule it all the time.

Also, not a deal breaker, but consider adding a "show details" setting where user can see the tasks/subtasks in an event, directly on the calendar view without clicking on it to reveal tasks.

Thank you for providing your feedback, it definitely helps to understand potential areas of improvement for the app. Regarding your comment, I suggest trying the "Day Summary" feature, which is accessible via the button on bottom-left of the timeline view. This allows to see all activities and tasks for the day from a single view, without having to individually opening each activity. I hope you give another try to SuperPlanner in the future, but I truly appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts based on your initial experience. Best regards, Gabriel.
  • The Best Calendar/Task/Time Blocking app available

This app does what Apple is trying to do with it's native calendar and reminders app in iOS 18, it puts together activities (events, but more broad strokes) and tasks. The app works seamlessly and the developer implemented significant changes that make it super easy to add new tasks and a watch app to keep up to date with your activities and tasks on the go. If you'd like to know whether the app is worth it, it 100% is for anyone who wants to manage routines, calendar events, and tasks in one place. Plus calendar sync, a fully functional watch app, and live activities to help you stay on track.

If you want to know what I'd like to see added to SuperPlanner:

I'd love to see the developer add the ability to assign durations to tasks. This would be a total game changer as right now, users must guess/estimate how long a task will take and add them to activities. But if I have a task list that shows a total time estimate based on the individual task durations I've added to each task, planning would be beautifully fluid and simple. Besides that, multiple views (right now it's just a day view) including, weekly (customizable n days) and upcoming list view would be amazing. Plus, reminders integrations and a "today" list that's accessible from the main screen (not calendar) would be awesome.

Thanks for your amazing review! I'm glad to hear that SuperPlanner is meeting your needs and making it easier to manage your activities and tasks. Your feedback is invaluable and helps me understand what users find most beneficial and potential improvements for the app. Regarding the "today" list that is not the calendar view, I suggest using the "Day Summary" view, which can be opened from the button on bottom-left of the calendar view and shows all tasks for the day in a list grouped by activity. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts! Best regards, Gabriel.
  • Lives up to its Name

SuperPlanner is a unique and powerful day planner, project and task manager.

    ##### What I like about it:
    There’s a lot to like.

    - Like the different approach of an activity based planner. Each activity (which can also be an iOS Calendar event) can have any number of tasks associated with it. This approach helps you to focus on the details of what you want to accomplish during the scheduled time segment. And it also works with All-day events as well.
    - Tasks can be infinitely nested (rarity).
    - Has a dedicated inbox.
    - Great notification system that when you tap on a notification it brings you directly to the activity or task.
    - Integrates with System calendar
    - iCloud sync!
    - Good Privacy practices
    - Multiple beautiful icons to choose from
    - A responsive developer who is open to your ideas and feedback (he got back to me the same day I sent off an email)
    - Covers multiple platforms with one purchase (iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch)
    - Apple Watch is first rate (which is rare in my experience). The developer put some thought into it, rather than just being an afterthought, which you find in many productively apps. There is an apparent care put into the usefulness and user experience.
    - There is even a cool time circle that updates in live time the amount of time left in the current activity — right on the complication. Great for tracking how long you have left in the work day, for example.
    - Also you can easily access every list you have and check off tasks too (super cool and great for shopping lists). I do wish you could add tasks to lists and to the inbox, but maybe that will come later …
    ###### In summary …
There are a few things I’d like to see, like a quick task entry from the app icon, notes for calendar events to show up on the day’s schedule like regular activities and for activities and lists to display their notes on the Apple Watch app … and some other things I’ve submitted to the developer …
Overall, I think SuperPlanner definitely lives up to its name. It feels to be a carefully crafted app — on every level it shows a polish of excellence. I believe its future is bright.

  • I’ve tried all the apps. This is one of my favorites.

I’ve tried them all. TickTick. Things 3. Todoist. Yadda yadda. None has worked for my brain quite like this. It’s got Apple calendar integration, calendar view, timeline, live activities, widgets, multilevel sub-task scheduling (and subtask organization) etc. The plan subtasks function is brilliant as well. it’s what I wish Reminders could do. On top of that, it LOOKS like native Apple software. Great stuff.

    Developer Response

Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm glad that SuperPlanner has worked so well for you, especially the Apple calendar integration and multilevel sub-task scheduling. It's fantastic to hear that it looks and feels like a native Apple app. If you have any suggestions or need support, don't hesitate to reach out.
  • Very Nearly Perfect Calendar & Task Manager

SuperPlanner gets five stars from me.

It is almost everything that I need and want in a calendar/task manager. Its lists work like projects in Things. The time management is second to none, because live activity timers just make sense. It’s an aesthetically beautiful app to boot. The the way that activities and tasks work is perfect. Activities should be scheduled like events as they take up a time block, and you can plan what you’d like to do in that time block via tasks. It’s a wonderful system. However—

The biggest missing feature is the lack of reminders integration. Apple’s Reminders app is very powerful after its most recent update. There’s a lot you can do with it, but you can’t bring tasks from Reminders to SuperPlanner without copying them over manually. It’s tedious. & if you’re like me and have been using Reminders for years, that’s a lot of tasks to bring over, hopefully with no mistakes. That being said, the task manager within SuperPlanner is great, though it lacks a tagging system and URL fields in tasks (for both web & URL schemes).

These are the reasons that I don’t use SuperPlanner as my primary task/calendar manager. It doesn’t fit my workflow, even though I desperately wish it did. I keep checking back for updates and have already purchased the lifetime subscription. I’m hoping it’s just a matter of time, as I know that other people have asked for Reminders integration as well. Tagging and URL support would be awesome, as well.

Honestly after writing this review, I’m still considering changing my workflow to accommodate SuperPlanner because it’s just that good (but not quite perfect IMO). That’s why SuperPlanner has earned five stars from me, despite its current shortcomings, it’s still a heck of a great app.

    Developer Response

Thank you for your amazing review and support!  I'm thrilled to hear that the app meets almost all of your calendar and task management needs. I'm glad the app's aesthetics appeal to you as well. While I understand that the lack of reminders integration is a significant missing feature for you, and I apologize for any inconvenience it may cause. I'm actively exploring options to improve this aspect to make sure the app offers an efficient workflow for every user.  As a lifetime subscriber, your support means a lot to me, and I'll continue working hard to make the app even better over time. If you have any further suggestions or questions, please feel free to reach out. Thank you once again for your kind words and for being a part of the SuperPlanner community.
  • in-super planner

maybe im dumb but this app seems to have the bare minimum capabilities to call itself a planner and nothing else. appreciate the color coding though.

    Developer Response

I'm sorry to hear that SuperPlanner didn't meet your expectations. I'm sure that you will discover everything the app has to offer with the passing of time, since it has many useful features. I appreciate your feedback for the color coding feature. Best regards, Gabriel.
  • Incredible App for Task Lists!

SuperPlanner is the perfect app to help keep task lists/to-do lists organized. I don't find it easy to manage task lists in my Notes app, in a physical notebook, or on my calendar. Super Planner gives me the ability to view my tasks as a list, scheduled on my calendar, or see my tasks both ways/side by side. Give it a try! I paid for the upgraded verison of this app but used the free version for weeks before committing to the paid version. The free version is very valuable, easy, and fun to use!

    Developer Response

Thank you for your review! I'm glad to hear that the app has helped you organize your tasks in a way that other apps couldn't. I sincerely appreciate your recommendation, and thank you for sharing your perspective on how useful and fun the free version of the app is. Best regards, Gabriel.
