  • Does about 25% of what it needs to

    The last Scottish Golf App was far better than this. There’s too many areas of the app that you can’t access - you have to be directed to the website for example. You can’t see your bar spend or your accounts on the app. Not really fit for purpose.
  • Cross border scorecards

    Since the build of the new app in December 2022, the app has still failed to give the functions of submitting a scorecard from across the border.

    I used both Scottish golf and golf England apps and the previous Scottish Golf app was far superior to England golf for that benefit as you could arrive at most courses around the UK I’m not the world and be able to continue to add your scorecards to the app and keep an accurate HC.

    Although I have been previously informed by the Team at Scottish golf to just submit my scorecards to my home club. This puts extra burden on the my home clubs but i also have to wait for the scorecards to be added which may not be added for a few days/weeks which could also cause an issue with your HC being correct.

    Is there plans to re-add the Cross border scoring to the app ?

  • Terrible app and system

    As if things couldn’t get worse than the first app, Scottish Golf have brought out this app.

    The only clear improvement is a graph showing handicap scores, with ever other function required of the app unintuitive or non-existent.

    Terrible decision to move to this app platform as far as functionality and user interface is concerned.

  • Big step backwards

    I have waited until the season started to try the app in competitions etc, but the app is a real step backwards compared to the functionality of the app we used over the past 2 years. All the good features lost, like being able to enter a competition, see other entrants, check the draw, see live scores and results. None of that this year so far. We are back to entering competitions on a sheet of paper in the clubhouse….so much for progress! And if you book 3 places in a 4 ball, someone else can take the 4th place…really!! Why was this not sorted before the season started? Why do we have a completely new system with a new developer? Surely Scottish Golf should be dictating what we want and not leaving it to the developer….Is this going to happen every time a new contract is awarded. I could go on, but I suspect SG aren’t even listening. Not a good return for our subscriptions.

  • Poor from Scottish Golf

    You’d have thought after their first attempt at an App they’d have made a better job of this one, especially as it’s been around for years in England. But no, Scot Golf bite off more than they can chew and are completely out of their depth. Even a simple task like entering a comp doesn’t work reliably.

  • Useless….!

    The app simply doesn’t work. No handicap or previous score data has been added to my account leaving me with no handicap record at all. Contacted Scottish Golf who state it wasn’t their issue and my club need to re-establish my scores but they have no function to do so.

    Shambles….at least I had a handicap and previous score data on the old app. The data transfer by Scottish Golf from the old app to this new one has simply not happened.

  • Much Improved

    I didn’t mind the old app and although there are some features missing at the moment, the new SG app seems easy to navigate and does everything that is required. Excited to start the new season.
  • Disgraceful

    Not much better than before and completely user unfriendly. On first impressions not fit for purpose. Would be helpful if you could use your email to log on rather than have to use an allocated number. Will only use when forced to by no other choice but other wise no desire to waste time on rubbish system

  • New app, confused already

    So the new app is launched, and despite the whole world using the term general play, there is no such thing on this app.

    Scottish Golf have yet again decided that convention need not be followed. I suspect you need to use the “scorecard” menu - which is illogical as no one now refers to this for submitting a score. General Play is the term. Please use it, or at least try to know what the WHS system is.

    Sort yourselves out. You can’t even find the app on the App Store when you search for Scottish Golf because you changed the app name and forgot to tell any of your members that you have a new app name to search for. Do you ever actually think about your members, or talk to them, or ask them? Or do you just sit in your ivory tower thinking you are useful.

    Still wondering what in gods name Scottish golf does for the club member. Other than screw up app launches and waste money on the old app. I hope this one gets better.

  • What an improvement!

    Easy to use, great improvement from the previous app. Impressive work for such a short space of time. Well done!

Alternatives to My Scottish Golf
