Reviews of FitBee Calorie & Macro Counter

  • Overall really good but almost too basic

In comparison to LoseIt app, the interface for this app is great. It is simple, straightforward, and is not overly complex. There are very few ways you can get lost in menus the same way that you can LoseIt. The database of foods is really good, and I have not had any problems with that aspect.

There are a few items that are a little bit too basic that limits some of the ease views. One element is the limited ways of recording portion sizes. Frequently it is in strictly grams or a predefined serving that does not equate to the nutritional facts on a package.

It is overall a really good app!

    Developer Response

Hi DexTexMex – Thank you for your review! I'd love to know what other ways you'd like to record serving sizes. Could you please email feedback@fitbee.app? Thank you!
  • User friendly but needs some work

I’m finding this app preferable to MyFitnessPal but their library even of basic foods is rather bare. Like not having the calories for a can of black beans is wild. I’m sure it will improve as more people log/join but I wish it was a bit more fleshed out on basics.
Also, the import recipe feature needs some help. 6/10 ingredients it had a hard time matching (but that probably feeds into the library conversation if that’s where it’s pulling from)
Other than that, I like it a lot and am sticking with it!!!

    Developer Response

Hi there - thanks for checking out FitBee. I'd love to learn more about the issues you're having with finding foods. Could you please email feedback@fitbee.app so I can look into it? Thank you!
  • Exactly what I was looking for

This is a beautifully designed app, both in terms of its design aesthetic and intuitive interface making it easy to use -- which is essential for keeping up with logging meals!

The developer was also quick to respond to some feedback and roll out an update, making this a no-brainer for me to switch over from another tracking app.
