Reviews of Agave Health

  • Agave Review

Agave is a great way for me to manage my ADHD symptoms and stay focused on what tasks I need to accomplish.
  • $$$$$$$$ I don’t have 💔

$149 first month , $249 from then on is outrageous
  • I can’t be impartial

From the time I started using the service until this weekend, I easily would have given this app 5 stars. Unfortunately upon responding to messages from my coach, I was told they had “moved on from Agave”. This came completely out of the blue for me and given the last messages from my coach, it seems to have been out of the blue for them as well.

I understand things happen and people leave, but abruptly Agave failed to take into account the basic humanity involved in a coach/client relationship and treated the situation as if I viewed the person I was speaking with as interchangeable. The whole reason I spend so much time and effort on mental healthcare is due to this same lack of respect for connection- during the pandemic I experienced a traumatic separation thanks to a manipulative friend and have never fully recovered. Agave provided me with incredible help for about seven months, centered around a coach I was very happy with- and that was a critical component of what made it successful. None of this would have been possible without having trust established in someone. All of that goodwill was washed away in an instant, triggering all of the abandonment and separation trauma that has forced me to work full-time on my mental health just to cope. My coach had been critical in helping me get through the constant false-starts and failures of finding a psychiatrist or psychologist, and jumping the endless hoops to get healthcare to accomplish ANYTHING, and now I’m left more hurt than before.

As I said at the start, prior to this I would have had nothing negative to say about Agave and an abundance of positive things to say, but there are aspects of our culture that show up in business, healthcare, etc that are directly opposed to mental health or basic humanity as a concept, and that seems to have ruined it all for me. I hope Agave has learned from my interaction with them and won’t make decisions affecting their clients or coaches in the future without taking into account the intricacies of ADHD and trauma.
