Python Coding Editor & IDE App User Reviews

Bro

Man overall it’s very good. But where is the start button?

Response from developer

Top right corner in the app bar, arrow icon :)

Dude there’s way better ones out there

Everything is behind a paid subscription which is fine, but I mean EVERYTHING it won’t even highlight text into different colors or just ordinary stuff that should be in a coding app, even the free version!

Also, it works weird, I tried to make it print a variable

e.g. 1 variable = input()
2 print(variable)

And it just wouldn’t do anything💀

Not free whatsoever

Why do these python IDE apps think they deserve a million dollars for what they did. This is not proprietary, this is just Python. Stop charging so much when this stuff is free everywhere else.

Response from developer

We employ developers who build and maintain this app, they work for money. Because of this we are able to develop further the app and ship new features

Cant run code

Cant run code with free version, why is it advertised as free

Requires a service

Considering python itself is open source can you get rid of the ads and subscriptions

Response from developer

We employ software developers who developed this app and they maintain it. They work for money, if we cannot pay them there will be no app. You can use the app for free, the upgrade unlocks additional features. PyCharm, the most popular Python Desktop IDE is not free at all

It was good

The app was good and simple i don't know why they switched to payed version 4.99 a week seems over kill

Simulation of a Code Editor/Writer

1. Can’t run code with app
2. Debug flags randomly

Terrible

Doesn’t even work

It’s not actually free.

After I learned how to run the code, I was thinking I finally found the perfect python app because the rest were lesson providers, and I already had one of those. But to make your own code, you have to have the upgrade. I hate apps that are free on the App Store but then it turns out you actually have to pay for them. If you plan on downloading this because you think it’s free then DONT. It’s not actually free to make your own code. You have to buy the upgrade.
