Great app

Congratulations on your visionOS . It looks great.

Good so far

Trying to get back to TM but find it so hard to sit down and sit still. I’m hoping that this little tool will help. I like the visuals and the bells and the sounds. Helpful but not too ‘packaged’. And no annoying voices.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for your review! “Helpful but not too ‘packaged’” is exactly what I was aiming for when I desiged and developed Zenitizer and I will keep this design goal in mind with every new feature I plan to add in the future ;) If you have any improvement suggestions or ideas or questions, you can always reach me at support@manuelkehl.com Thanks for using my app and all the best on your meditation journey! Finally

I’ve been looking for a simple meditation timer for years and they all either seem to be ridiculously cluttered, expensive subscriptions, or abandoned.

Zenitizer is perfect, and I happily paid for the lifetime access. Great, simple design, and it’s really helped me progress to unguided meditation and ditch subscriptions apps.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for these incredibly kind words. Your background sounds super relatable to me, as I also had been looking for a simple unguided meditation app due to the exact reasons that you mentioned :) Unable to find one that ticked all the boxes for me, I decided to build it myself so it makes me really happy to hear from users like you, who share my journey and find Zenitizer useful for their meditation practice. Thanks for your support, best wishes and happy meditating! Manuel

Excellent in VisionOS

Absolutely lovely that Zenitizer has a native app for the  Vision Pro— Meditating in the immersive environments with sounds from Zenitizer is sublime!

Response from developer

Simple and excellent with beautiful sounds

Great app. Very relaxing.

Response from developer

Thank you so much, that’s very kind 🙏 I’ll keep adding more, relaxing soundscapes over time 😉

Greedy

A timer application should not be pestering you with advertisements for a lifetime subscription or locking away behavior.

Response from developer

Sorry to hear you feel that way. I’m Manuel, the developer of Zenitizer and as an independent “one-person company” I’m just trying to make ends meet to allow me to continually improve the app. Ultimately, this means that some functionality needs to be paid, otherwise it is simply not sustainable. While Zenitizer may appear, at first glance, to be “just a timer”, it does have many advanced features for meditation (e.g. background sounds, interval bells, streaks and stats) and deep integrations with the Apple ecosystem (e.g. Apple Health, iCloud, Shortcuts) that were a lot of work for me to build and continue to be a lot of work to improve and maintain. You can always try Zenitizer+ for free for a week to see if it’s worth it for you, or continue to use the set of free features. If you’re not interested in any Zenitizer features, I’d recommend using the built-in iOS timer app as it is completely free and works really well as a simple timer. Regarding the lifetime plan: many apps these days are subscription-only but since some users dislike subscriptions, I decided to add a lifetime plan which is currently discounted significantly. In order to let people know about this, I set up a few ads online. It appears you saw one of those ads and didn’t like it which is perfectly fair, but I would appreciate if you’d reconsider your review. Either way, wishing you a great year ahead and happy meditating! Manuel

Helpfull

After trying multiple apps for meditation, i found Zenitizer to be the must elegant et pratical.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for your postive review and your kind words. It makes me very happy to hear you’re enjoying the app and I deeply appreciate your support! Best wishes and happy meditating! Manuel

My replacement for ScreenTimer!

A few years ago, ScreenTimer was the best app for my meditations. It has not-so-slowly morphed into being a guided meditation hub in the likes of all the others out there. All I need is a timer I can set to as long as I want, with my own sets of bells, and good Apple Watch integration. This app checks all those boxes.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for your kind words! Yes, most meditation apps these days focus on guided content which is the main reason I started working on Zenitizer, as I, too, was looking for an app with exactly the features you describe above packaged in a clean, minimal user interface 🤓 Your support means a lot to me and I’ll continue to improve and refine the app while always striving for a clutter-free experience and with no plans to start adding guided meditations 😉 Best Wishes and Happy Meditating! Manuel

Simple and Best

This app is just right for me! I am not a beginner in meditation. Not everyone needs to be guided how to breathe, what to think like other apps does.
This one is simple and useful for every level of experience.
Set timer, reminder, focusing sounds, silence phone, register strikes and put data in Apple health mindfulness automatically. All i have to do is say “Siri, start meditation”

Thank you for this wonderful review! I’m Manuel, the developer of Zenitizer, and I must say your story and motivation for using the app sounds very similar to mine. At some point on my meditation journey, I personally felt that guided meditations were more distracting than helping me and I was looking for a simple tool that assists me in my unguided practice while being well integrated with the Apple ecosystem. Unable to find anything that ticks all the boxes for me, I started working on Zenitizer. It makes me really happy to hear from people who’ve had a similar journey and see that my app is useful for them too. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and have a wonderful day! Happy Meditating! Manuel

Made with much love

Free version is so limited in function as to be mainly just a preview of the app. But it’s probably worth the 20 dollars a year for this incredibly well made functional app.

I love that it shows on the new dimmed Lock Screen. I was looking specifically for an app that does that.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for this kind review! Indeed, a lot of passion went into making Zenitizer, as I personally really wanted an app like this to exist - I’m always happy to see that users take notice of this :) And yes, the free version primarily serves as a preview, but also allows basic functionality for those users who really just want a simple timer and daily meditation goal without much customization. While I wish that I could offer all features for free, it is my dream to grow Zenitizer into a small, sustainable business that allows me to continue working on it for a long time to come and consistently improve the app and adopt new system features - like the Lock Screen widgets that you mentioned :) Your support is an important step on that journey and I deeply appreciate it! Happy Meditating! Manuel
