I like this game! -but a few suggestions…

OK. I’ll admit the game is AWSOME! But it could do a LOT better with improving… first of all is how much time it takes to sign it! Why do the parents need to do so much to make an account for their kids? Second of all is the fact it demands PERSONAL INFO??? thats REALLY unsafe and will cause many people to delete it or give it a bad review… also there should be an “out of AR mode” so it uses less battery and it’s safer for certain people. It also gets very laggy and the dots can clip through the walls :/… VERY IMPORTANT WHY IS EVERYTHING SO EXPENSIVE!? Nests are like the most IMPORTANT thing in the game and I CANT GET THEM!? EVEN IF I PLAY FOR MONTHS I CANT GET THE RIGHT THINGS TO GET THEM! I suggest you add certain spots that can give you rarer and more special items like nests and accessories! And it would be cool if you could see the other players Dots and interact with them if they pass by! (Maybe with an option to send the other player(s) a request to interact with their Dot?) Anyways I hope you can fix these problems but even now it’s a pretty cool game!!! :3

Prefer to Pokémon Go

Ok, I'm in my 40s and probably shouldn't be playing this game but I do love it so far (5 months in)! Niantic really do need to sort their prices out 😂 though, considering the potential age of player - I can imagine some very broke parents out there, bearing in mind how much I spend! Having said that though, any costs are completely voluntary considering everything in the shop can be earned whilst logging in and playing (for example you need a nest in order to hatch a new "dot" but these are given away, one per week, at certain habitats and as general rewards for completing tasks etc). So, I deducted half a star originally which I've given back, as I do really love the game and love the creativity involved! It's a great little AR game that has almost endless possibilities. What's not to love??? Oh and as a last addition: this is not just played by children! All of the friends I've made have been via the Facebook groups and the messenger groups (and are all adults).

Very relaxing and comforting! 💚⭐️

This game has changed so much sense release mostly for the better! Nests are now free and quite easy to get if you have been playing for a little while not to mention how relaxing it is to feed and care for your dots it’s a great way to keep yourself entertained when you’re waiting somewhere or just bored. Hatching new dots is addicting so you can quickly end up with more dots then you can manage which can become a problem but at least having lots of dots is a quick and easy way to level up and insures you never get bored. The chaos traits are a bit of a mixed bag though some of them are really cute and unique and others are just ugly and glitch wildly on screen however if you don’t want any on your dots they are easy to avoid and discovering traits is really fun so overall I think there a good addition to the game! A big shame though is that no more official traits seem to be added along with the archetype contests where fans can submit their ideas it really is a bummer to see that go I hope they continue adding those in the future Oh also the music and sound effects are a nice touch. Overall I really love this game I play it daily and the community’s for it on campfire are lovely I will continue to play and enjoy my adorable little pets!

Thanks for reading my review…….YOU CLOD!
Ha ha im just kidding! 💚

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot

Peridot seemed like a good game but by time I was less then 10 minutes in I realized that the nests meant to breed peridots were locked behind a paywall of 4.99, and that the “nest fragments” that existed in the beta were no more, and with just the 1 nest given out of pity for the player I decided to keep playing, but little did I know it only got worse, with some traits of peridots being behind levels far into the 30s I felt like I was getting spit at, trying to find a small bit of hope I reached out to other players nearby me but was only met with radio silence until nearly 3 days had passed, finally after 5 days of playing the game I was finally able to breed a peridot, but with a astronomical cost of about 1,337 gems to unlock the two star and three star traits behind a level lock I found myself unwilling to continue playing, this game had tons of potential despite having the model of most nft scams, and I wouldn’t have minded the scam like micro transactions if ordinary players had at least the ability to have more then 2 peridots, however with no ability to even do that I ultimately lost any hope I had for this game lasting more then a year, without major changes in the gameplay and the core structure of earning Peridot might as well just shut the stables doors and throw out the key.

Also it’s been pretty clear most of the 4+ reviews are bots so u might never even play with someone else nearby.

I’m fixing my review

This game has improved a lot and now we can level dots much more and they listened to the feedback

Free to play now viable. Updated review.

I originally rated peridot very low due to the fact you had to buy nests to breed with real money.

But Niantic really seem to have listened to their community and have made many positive changes to the game making it much more enjoyable for the free to play community - including giving us the opportunity to earn nests for free or spend gems (which you can also earn slowly in game). And the chaos traits are a fun new addition to the game.

I now rate it 4/5 because there are still a few bugs that can occasionally be frustrating. But its now worth playing as it is.

Didn’t get to play

I was actually really wanting to play this but when I tried to open the game, the audio glitched and it kicked me from the game. Please fix this bug

Great AI!

Dots are so adorable! Yes, I admit the game can be glitchy, but it makes sense since there are lots of features in the game. A while back, people weren’t happy about the prices the developers put on the nests, but the developers read the reviews and added a free way to earn nests! I’m glad the developers listen to their players. My conclusion is that Peridot is a great game filled with cute Dots. I’d give this game a six-star if I could. I also hope fans who had their hearts broken when they realized the price on nests will give the game another chance. Edit: The game has been making really cool updates like feral dots! Although they added many awesome updates, I think the developers should continue to work on AI and making new animations that make the dots come to life. The game is already really good and I think it can become even better. Edit: Nests are more accessible now! Also I LOVE all of the new features including the trait library! :) Congrats on the new Hello, Dot! I am looking forward to seeing more things coming to Peridot!

I can’t get in because my parents say i can’t sigh up :( so can you make a guess one that you don’t have to to make a account, log in, sigh up and well basically thats all. So plz make that happen and do it<3 and i don’t want to make it sound like your game is bad so i gave it a 3 out of 5.

It’s fun but…

While it’s fun to make the dots and get the archetypes the process can get expensive with the nest issues. I get it they have to make money to keep employees paid and servers running but it’s a little steep. With that said I did pay every once in a while as I’ll pay for games that bring me enjoyment.
The reason why I deleted my account though was the constant use of AR. It’s a phone killer in short. The things that it does to your battery and electronics in your phone is not good. I’m not going to continue to play a game that will over heat my phone and shorten my phones life span. Heat is one of the factors that kills your batteries capacity to hold a charge. Even if your phone says its charged to 100% your battery may only be holding a 90% charge as an example. That a reason why phones have trouble making it through the day as they age under the same amount of usage. I get the AR aspect of this game but maybe make the game play out like your other games in their own digital worlds. Pokemon Go would be an example. Most people just use AR in that game to snap a quick pic and then back to the Pokemon digital world to continue playing. Anyway I’d come back if the game went in this direction as it is fun.
