Disappointing
I had hoped the majority of reviews were not as bad as they said but sadly they are true. I had high hopes for this but it took 30-40 minutes to get the device to start working. I had to reset it many many times because it kept freezing up partway through the set up. After it finally completed the setup I was able to connect it to the TV for a few minutes then when I came back after walking away it was disconnected and said it no longer could see it on the network. It was still connected on my phone though for a short while and then it also disconnected. At that point i figured I had wasted enough time, boxed it up, and will return it tomorrow. Maybe one day they will get it to work properly.

So close to being usable
I wish that when I select a channel from the guide, not a TV show, it would just play non stop until there is a scheduled recording conflict. Instead what it does is at the end of each show it returns you to the channel guide. There is no way to just watch live TV. You can watch live TV until the show ends, if you want to watch the next show on the same channel too you have to pick from the guide again. Also, when background guide updates fail while you are watching live TV it interrupts your viewing to tell you.

Lacking support for Apple TV
Despite multiple promises from the company that an Apple TV app is on the way, it is still without one. I have had the new Tablo since last July or August and cannot even use it. I have contacted support multiple times requesting to know a date when the app will be released and even requested a refund for the device if the app isn’t going to be available soon but they did not respond to that. If you are using Apple TV, I highly recommend not purchasing a Tablo and looking at other devices. As a long term legacy Tablo user, I am very disappointed in the support I have received with this new device.

Love it, but can you adjust the screen orientation
I’m trying to watch Tablo on my Samsung TV by doing the screen mirroring thing from my iPhone to the Samsung TV. It works great, but since the tablet app doesn’t adjust the orientation of the video content correctly with the orientation of the actual phone, it displays vertically on my screen. Can you guys fix this? Thank you!

Great product
Great product and app but could y’all make it possible for to make it where I could watch my tv and recordings away from home when not connected to home wifi
Needs a lot of work
The 4 channel works better than the 2 channel 4 gen I have. Guide fails to load and when show ends kicks you out to main screen and have to exit and relaunch app to continue watching same channel. Over all not bad for free but is a work in progress. Kinda like when the internet first started. Lol. Hopefully they get a better programmer working for them.

Nowhere close to ready for release
There are a ton of problems with this half-baked version of the app.
-Setup over wifi didn’t work
-After I do a channel scan and select the channels that I want to be displayed, all the extra channels are still displayed but there is no show information populated for those channels
-If you are recording a show (like a football game), you cannot start from the beginning while the show is still recording. When you select the recording, the playback starts from the current time. Further, there is not the option to navigate back to the beginning of the recording.
-Apple TV app isn’t ready yet, no mirroring available as a temporary work around.
I should have seen this coming. I have been using the original Tablo quad tuner since it was first released about a decade ago. That app got better over time but still had some pretty major bugs while watching a time shifted football game like the scenario I described above. I naively expected the new app to be better, but it’s a step back. Fool me twice, shame on me. I think it’s time to move on from Tablo.

Doesn’t work
Fairly simple, the purpose of app is to watch over the air tv on iPhone. Problem is, it just doesn’t work. If what you are wanting to watch is under the “home” tab, then all appears to work great. But unfortunately if you want to watch something from the “live” tab, all you get is “item not found”. The app is horrible and the device itself is not much better. Will be returning the Tablo device as well.
Update. Less than 1 star. Spent over 3 hours with their “technical support”. Their only solution is “reboot”. Uninstall and reinstall. That didn’t work? Uh, uninstall and reinstall something else. That didn’t work? Uh, send me a screenshot. Oh wait, the support platform doesn’t allow files. Let’s move this to email, and I guess you can imagine how fast that level of support will be. This company really has some work to do l, but there is great potential for it.

Needs improvement
When this works, it is awesome! I love how I can have one antenna and watch my local channels anywhere in the house. But the app is horrible. At least once a day, I turn on my tv to the blue “welcome to Tablo” screen and have to go through the entire setup again. I have to spend 30+ minutes troubleshooting every time I want to watch it. I wish this could be fixed, since it’s really great when it works, but there is so much time when it just doesn’t.

Not Bad For Starters
We have been using the app and the new Tablo device for over three weeks now with no problem. The setup went smoothly and we have even rescanned once to add some channels. I know there are updates coming so I’ll stand by.
