Love Gixen!!!
This is a life saver for a card collector dad with young kids. If there is an item I have my eye on, I don’t need to stay up late or try to enter a last second bid… this app does all the work
Total joke
Website & app a Total joke, won’t load, always slow (if it does load)
A Developer You Want to Hug
Mario has been lovingly developing this app for a very long time. In one sense, I wish he was in charge if all the apps I use, and in another I’m not because Gixen is so useful / he can devote his time to it.
He sends emails every few months, and I actually read them, gleefully. It’s like getting a CSA box full of vegetables, straight from the farm, with stories about how the chickens are doing, the llama, and the cucumbers that will likely be ripe and in next week’s order, along with pictures of the animals / fields. It’s wholesome. You can tell this guy *cares*. And you can tell that he’s ethical, loves making something great — not for riches or fame, but because possibly, if we all did that, the world would just be a better place.
He doesn’t make his app or service paywall necessary, even though I’m sure he’d make more money. And even though I don’t need to, and am very thrifty, I subscribe — because he seems like that good of a guy.
This is all said as a person who never reads emails from developers or companies. Or leaves reviews for apps or items. I’m more positively passionate for this app than I have ever been upset or annoyed with anything — which is saying something, given how strong of an emotion disdain is. In fact, this review isn’t even for you to read, dear end-user, but for Mario to read, so he can feel appreciated.
We adore you, buddy. Thank you for being in a helping profession, and using your talent for good in this world. Especially against a [self-censored] company like eBay.

I have used this service for years
I have used this service via the web for literally over 5 years and it works perfectly, so I am so pleased there is now an app. It’s a delight to see your bid placed just before the auction ends. For important bids it places you at a massive advantage. Fantastic value for money. It is simple and has never let me down.

Been using this for a long time
Game changing platform that allows you to win lots of bids on eBay without having to sit watching the time tick down all day and try to make a manual last second bid that may not even cut it. Instead, gixen allows you to place a “snipe” bid, or a bid that won’t go active until the final few seconds of the eBay auction. Not only do you win more bids, but you also save money. If you are buying say a signed baseball that is up for auction and the current bid price is $55 but the item still has 20 hours left till the auction ends, you can go ahead and place a snipe bid with gixen right then and there. If you are comfortable spending $90 on this baseball and no higher, then you can place a $90 gixen bid. If the item ends up at $65 dollars with time ticking down, gixen will automatically make sure that it not only gets you the win, but it will make sure you win at the lowest cost to you. So even if your bid was $90, gixen will automatically get you the win for only $66, or whatever the next highest bidding tier is. This is so much better than waiting till the last second on eBay and bidding your $90 because eBay will take strictly what you bid and you may win the item, but you would have just lost out on $24 dollars because you didn’t use gixen. Also if you end up losing out and the bidding ends at over $90, there is no charge to you, meaning that $90 doesn’t go anywhere. It doesn’t go to some account on gixen or anything like that, it stays right in your bank account as if nothing ever happened. I know this is an extensive review but it is because I would recommend everyone who shops on eBay to use gixen. It’s a time and money saver. I’m so excited that they finally have a mobile app as I’ve been waiting for something like this for a long time. The yearly subscription price is incredibly cheap for the value that you will save by winning more bids at a lower price. I don’t work for gixen haha I promise. I’m a sports card collector and gixen has helped me stay invested in growing my collection because of the convenience of the platform. Happy eBay shopping everyone!
