Reviews of freeCodeCamp

  • Great app to learn

I have no background in IT/programming… I was learning using Mimo app. Here’s my comparison.

Pros: Mimo doesn’t provide background information, this app does. Using this app, feels like I’m actually writing/learning coding whereas, Mimo feels like a game. This app doesn’t have heart games so, you can learn without hiccups/losing time. In Mimo, after you make 5 mistakes, you have to wait 3 hours before you can learn again unless you buy subscription.

Cons: After two mistakes, Mimo shows you the correct code, this app doesn’t. For a newbie like me, it’s really difficult to find what I did wrong and stops me from moving ahead. There should be a button that shows correct code if not right away at least after 2-3 attempts.
  • Crashes A lot

I’ve been considering using the app instead of the browser on my iPad. Sadly most of the time when I’m trying to move on to the next step, the app crashes as soon as i click the check box to enter my code. I had high hopes for the app but it’s looking like I’ll just remain in my web browser for now.
  • Update issue

is there any problem on the new update?
it doesn’t work on iPhone 12 pro
Just a white screen come up ⁉️
