Great concept, poor execution

Love the concept, but the device and app are essentially unusable. Almost every rep is not registered and there is no way to just use this as a standalone accelerometer. I feel like I paid 280$ for a product that is a couple years from being finished.

Good concept

Good and interesting concept but it’s still too early to actually adopt and somewhat too poor of execution to at all release to the public yet. App lacking a LOT of standard lifting features and the actual device only functions accurately 50% of the time. Device will always clock unracking the weight but seemingly only counts half of your actual reps. Other times it over counts for no reason. So manually tracking your reps every time kind of defeats some of the purpose. Button on the device barely responsive so you have to use the app itself to start and stop sets or you will miss counts. App has a rest timer, great, but the app doesn’t support background refresh so if you go out of the app while on rest then the timer doesn’t keep running and just pauses wherever it’s at during a rest. You can’t easily view historical reps and markers in the app while lifting or even edit the weight of a previous set if you don’t alter it before the lift or if you want to change mid-set. No support for drop sets or supersets. No ability to vary rest timer in different exercises, stuck with a fixed timer for the whole workout you set beforehand. Lastly, it’s super important to track your lifting progress and monitor key factors, but aside from the info you can also manually record in a journal/ an app like Strong, the data gathered isn’t really that much more helpful to running progress up. I recommend the developers go to the drawing board and use some other lifting apps like Strong to adopt some well needed features, and get to developing version 2 of the device that tracks more accurately before further public releases.
