  • Forced updates are awful

Your app forced me to update before I could do anything else. That’s awful. Sure, play a reminder or whatever but let me use the app, even with whatever lower functionality the old version had, when I need to, instead of marking me waste time when it’s not convenient.
  • Amex Payment

Would be great if you started to accept Amex, most of the other charging networks already do.
  • CarPlay

Not all of us have someone in the car to look up chargers so how about CarPlay integration to at least search for a charger on the move.
  • App crashes and cannot do basic tasks

App crashes a lot, to the point where I can’t complete basic tasks

I cannot enter my credit card details into this app without having it crash.

I can also reliably crash the app by selecting “Scan” then clicking the x to go back to the map. Pretty bad app.
  • Unworkable app

When app eventually opens and select a charging station, cannot remove station detail window and cannot select an alternate station. Effectively frozen with flickering windows. Using latest update and tried on 2 devices.

    Developer Response

Hi there. ApplePay is supported as a payment method in the Evie app. If you have an ApplePay payment that was not accepted and you'd like us to look into it further please email support@goevie.zendesk.com with the details and I would be happy to help. Thanks, Penny
  • 30$ “deposit”. wasn’t refunded the difference.

They take a deposit out of your card and don’t refund the excess after charging. No other charging station does this

    Developer Response

Hi there, thanks for using Evie Networks. The $30 pre-authorisation is a temporary hold on your account and is removed as soon as the charging session ends. At no time are the pre-authorisation funds accessible to us. This pre-authorisation is intended to verify that sufficient funds are available, safeguarding the transaction from any potential payment failures. The length of time it takes for this to be released back into your account depends on your individual bank. Many major banks take 1-3 days however some banks can unfortunately take longer. This timeframe is determined by your banking institution, and unfortunately, it is beyond our control. Regards, Joe
  • Get a stop charge button on the app

Why is it so hard for you to have a stop charging function on the app? Every other app has it. I don’t want to charge to 100% and your unlock/stop function on the station is just ridiculous. Can’t wait to fix up my rfid card so I’m not bound by that nonsense.
  • Unreliable

Charging dropped to 5kw after starting. Billing doesn’t work at all. Shows amount owing, but on my account it shows it paid. Tried calling and sent a message, nothing.
  • Faulty equipment everywhere

We have just driven up the coast from Sydney. Every Evie station we stopped at had some level of equipment that was not working. At most locations half of the charging units were not functioning. At Taree one out of four was working and it’s screen did not work. At Macksville half of the units were out of service. At Cameron Counter it was the same with screens not working. It was raining hard at Taree and the area the equipment was installed would not drain and so you had to stand in water two or three centimetres deep to connect. We had to wait over an hour and a half at Taree to even start charging. Not a good experience.

  • Glad I’m not in an emergency

Downloaded the app, still waiting for the ‘magic’ link email.. so tried the password and still no email. And yes, I did wait 15 mins NO email. I’m on 5G with four bars so no excuses and blaming the customer, please. I’m sorry, but what you say and what you do seems to be different.
