  • Fox News-like reporting!

I’m now disgusted with this news agency. They are writing articles about local drag shows, the likes of which have been going on for decades. They almost make it seem as if kids are exposed to these adult-only entry events in an attempt to hype up their conservative audience. In my opinion, they’ve also have been demonizing teachers and the education system. When reporting on scandals, I feel like they don’t depict the entire story and make educators look bad. I’ve also seen them quote Fox News in an article. I get the impression they are trying to mold peoples’ thinking, much like other agencies, instead of presenting the facts and allowing people to think for themselves.

  • Keeping Dallas officials accountable

DX focuses on accountability and overlooked issues often sidelined by mainstream media. I got tired of reading Dallas Morning News, so DX started at the right time for me.

Their approach to crime statistics is thorough and informative, providing a clear snapshot of safety concerns within our communities without sensationalism.

When it comes to homelessness, provides a compassionate yet pragmatic perspective, shedding light on the complexities of this issue and advocating for practical solutions.

Education receives thoughtful coverage, highlighting both successes and challenges within our education system, fostering meaningful dialogue around improvement.

The app isn’t perfect but I do like getting notifications and the easy navigation it provides for not just Dallas issues, but also key national news. I also like getting their Newsletter most mornings.

It’s obvious they are in a growing phase so hopefully it all just gets better from here.
