Fun and Original
As expected from Ironhide, an excellent game. If you want it to be Kingdom Rush, it's not, but luckily KR games are still coming out! This is a distinct and excellent take on the tower defense genre. There's a lot less reflexes and a lot more tactics (big plus to me, but some other reviews that want this to be KR didn't like this). No resources are lost in moving/selling towers, but it all happens between rounds. Resources are given between rounds instead of gained by defeating enemies. Not as good as kingdom rush
Still fun to play, but the change on the upgrading system is a failure in my opinion. You don’t get much of the joy seeing your tower upgrading and having cooler effects anymore. Everything is pretty much the same no matter you upgrade them or not, which used to be a big part of fun for me. The 3 round design also not so fun in my opinion, the game has become less strategic but more fast paced casual games. Lastly the towers are incredibly unbalanced. Many tower are straight out bad while some other towers are crazy powerful. I wiped out the last 3 maps with the same set of towers and supplies and the new towers unlocked just couldn’t compete.Show lessvery convenion
Incredibly Buggy
Let me first say this is the most fun ive had with a mobile game since the last installment. Its just as addictive while being rewarding and balanced at the same time, and no in app purchases on the arcade makes it a much better experience overall. Ever since I got to the final map of the game though, I genuinely cannot get through a single match without the game crashing. I was going through old maps to get all the stars and on some maps I had to give up because certain levels will crash every-time without fail. The level im on currently is one of these levels, so I literally cannot progress in the game. There are also many other bugs. Often times the game will glitch and i will no longer be able to use tactics for the rest of the game (buttons unresponsive). Sometimes this happens for towers as well in the build stage. When youve finally figured out the perfect strategy for an extra hard level just for this glitch to happen on the last stage or god forbid the game crashes, its a huge bummer. I dont think ive ever left a game review before because who even cares but I love Ironhide games so much bc of the nostalgia they give me and the easter eggs to my favorite sci fi and fantasy stories. Please fix so i can go back to wasting my time on this lovely game.Show lessMrfudge5

While still less interesting than the Kingdom Rush series, Junkworld has interesting mechanics and a little challenge. The biggest pro with Junkworld is the tactics - not only can you swap towers and choose from a good variety, but you can do the same with your in-game abilities. The game suffers from balance issues, and the humor is sometimes on the nose, but the lack of monetization (as far as I could find) leaves a very refreshing taste in my mouth. Every tower, tactic and hero ( as far as I can tell - currently about halfway through) is unlockable through the campaign, similar to Kingdom Rush Frontiers+ on Apple Arcade.Show lessKazoocaste55
More Waves
Amazing game, brought me back to the nostalgia of experiencing kingdom rush for the first time. I love how it’s similar yet different and its own great way.
The only problem I have with it is the small amount of waves per level, if they would add 2-3 more waves per level and maybe some level based interaction/towers like the previous games had I think it would make the game last much longer and have more of a difference to each level.

Great but game keeps crashing.
I am one of the biggest fans IronH games as I own every single game released and patiently await each new game when it arrives. Unfortunately, Junkworld has been the only game in the series that crashes on my iPhone and Ipad devices multiple times. No game I've ever played on my device does this so its definitely some internal bug in the programing. Even after deleting game, restarting device, checking memory, and reinstalling, it still wont let me pass a certain stage no matter what I do. Big bummer as I really enjoyed the gameplay of this one. Its been very frustrating, and I hope future releases don’t follow this most recent let down trend for me.Show lessAAllison99

I’ve played all of the KR games and many imitations as well. Yet, this is my favorite. I didn’t expect to like it as much as the others because I love the fantasy genre that the original was set in, but the post apocalyptic/Mad Max type world where Junkworld was set feels like a wonderful place for imaginative character design. Fans of TD games will know how same-y towers can feel, but these are full of personality and impact gameplay in interesting ways. I highly recommend trying Junkworld out and giving yourself an opportunity to let the game prove to you how interesting it is.Show lessGame Time Party On Excellent
You can’t buy it, you only rent it
Game pretty good maybe not as good as the previous Kingdom Rush tower defense games. It’s pretty annoying trying to figure out which spots you can place the towers on and overall it’s to easy. My biggest complaint is I can’t buy the game on Apple, you can only get it through Apples Arcade for $6.99 a month. I already own the other Kingdom Rush games and so far Apple Arcade isn’t very appealing no other games of interest. I can’t see paying $84 dollars year to play this game whenever I want. So I’ll play it through once and then cancel the Arcade after the month. I would have bought it if that was an option.Show lessGrahamcracker781
Disappointed
Just as a lot of others, excited to see a new Ironhide tower defense. As per usual, the graphics, music and animations are top notch.
However, the gameplay is lacking the depth that made the first Kingdom Rush game one of the best Tower Defense games I’ve seen in awhile.
Three waves per level is really weird, and not being able to add towers during levels really kills the constant user gameplay. Now it’s mostly a watch and wait which is just very boring and not very engaging as a user.
I like that it’s not just the same game with a new skin, but I think delving into a completely different realm of gameplay that strays so far and away from the originals is not it.
The towers being placed in more areas I like, and the different reinforcements that are used are great, really adds something. But the levels are very meh and boring and over quite quickly, you don’t even really get to enjoy playing a level before it’s over. I would agree with some users that it doesn’t really feel finished. It’s too bad, these are my favorite tower defense games that I’ve ever played and this one is not great.Show lessOkayGamerCreator
Love the game, but experiencing a bug with the current towers
I am currently on the second map the last mission fighting On the third stage being the final boss of the map.
I am using the drone hero
The lumberjack tower
The flame tower
The drone tower
And the bull riding tower
I have the stop sign tactic guys
The trashcan blocker tactic
The bazooka tactic
And the healer tactic
I have also been using all of the boost on this level, except for the heart.
The game is crashing at the exact same point 5 times in a row now but I haven’t changed anything just to see if it was a hiccup and I am on the most recent update released today. The experiment monster is making it to about 1/4 of the way of his path and causing my game to crash. All five times I have tried and again I have not tried to change my towers.
This is the only bug I’ve experienced in the game and I probably could get around it by changing some stuff I just like to set up. I’m currently using it. I’m trying to get them to the max level so to be clear I do love this game it’ll get five stars As soon as this particular lineup can get me past this map without crashing lolShow lesskeb8907
