  • Crashes

It was working nicely for a while but today suddenly it crashes on launch, can’t start at all.
Edit: It is fixed by deleting and re-install the app.
  • No longer needs an invite

So excited bluesky no longer needs an invite to join! This is one of the best iPhone apps for bluesky! The translations are awesome !
  • Best Bluesky app

Could use a few design tweaks to the icon to reflect the new logo and some more colour in the UI, but this is by far the most feature-complete iOS Bluesky app. Includes a number of features the official app lacks, including superior DeepL translations and GIF autoplay.
  • good alternative app

graysky offers some customizations and settings the bsky app doesn’t, but imo the main benefit is how much faster and lighter it runs. the one big downside for me is the readability. the ss font is kind of hard to read and there’s too much space between lines. in general higher contrast lines on the edges of elements would be helpful too. but a great app nonetheless

Thank you - I’ll look into improving readability
  • Bluesky that actually feels like an iOS app <3

Finally! The main bluesky app is a UI mess, weird back button placements, strange decisions and a high contrast hard to read mess, and feels like a janky website not a native experience. I was ready to give up on the platform until I found graysky! Feels right as home on iOS, with real tab bars and normal iOS navigation (like what is the half high profile view of the main app, that swiping down doesn’t dismiss? A normal swipe back here folks!). Thank you dev for your hard work!

  • Good, but looking fwd to 2.0

Makes the BlueSky experience pleasant and easy. However, would benefit from several tweaks.

    - iOS notifications are needed
    - Grouping the in-app notifications (like the mainline Bsky app) would be helpful and reduce clutter
    - Themable elements like color, font size and spacing would help accessibility
    - The floating “My Feeds” button needs to move down to the nav bar at the bottom with the other views
    - The tiny touches of color that show likes, reposts, etc. are perfect! Use color this way throughout the interface.
    - Tapping the Skyline button once takes you there. Twice should refresh the feed and take you to the top (again like the mainline app)
    - Being able to hide the post window while composing (similar to a draft in the iOS Mail app) would be welcome

Looking forward to watching this app grow!

  • Good, just a minor bug

App runs well, lots smoother than the browser version, but for some reason every time I click into an image to look at it the image disappears and turns black
  • Pretty good so far

Only been playing around with it for a couple days, but not bad. I wish when you refresh your feed it didn’t go all the way up to the newest post.
  • Faster but ??

Literally where are the settings on this app? You can’t adjust *anything* ??** Also I tried it because it has gif integration, posted a gif from my phone and it didn’t work (posted as a photo) Back to the drawing board. I do LOVE that it’s a grey sky. Not fond of the blue one. Oh well

** sorry I’m a dolt. Found the settings. Giving it another whirl.

Hi! While you can’t upload your own GIFs yet, you can search from a large library of tenor GIFs
  • The app is now accessible with voiceover

Thank you For fixing the Accessibility issues. Now, I like it better than the official app.

    Developer Response

    Glad to hear it!
