Hello folks! Guess what? Our biggest update ever, version 1.5.0 - came with some unexpected "surprises" (oops!). But don't worry, we've got the fixes and some cool new stuff ready for you! Here's what's new and improved: - Added tooltips to the PenPals tab for a smoother experience. - Fixed the issue with PenPal lettres playing hide-and-seek. - Solved loading and syncing problems in the Stamp Book. - Got rid of those pesky network errors so you can enjoy the app without interruptions. - Squashed visual bugs, including the envelope that was determined to keep its postmark seal forever. - Banished those ghost lettres that haunted the PenPal listing after a lettre was paused or deleted. - Plus, a shiny NEW STAMP PACK by Nafisa Anzum! Hello everyone, The Lettre team is incredibly excited to share what we have been working on for the last couple of weeks! The app's 11th update — our most comprehensive yet — adds a whole new avenue for meeting, connecting and building relationships with new people! This requires a little reintroduction —> Lettre.app is a handwriting-based messaging app built for the iPad and Apple Pencil. You can send hand-written digital correspondence to anyone, collect and exchange digital stamps created by independent artists and make PenPals across the world! A "PenPal" is a friend you make by exchanging letters, often to explore new cultures and languages. Our PenPals feature is a new way to connect with people globally through handwritten letters on the iPad, reviving the charming tradition of pen-friendship in our hyper-connected age. What’s new in this update? - Make PenPals across the world: If you don’t have someone in mind to send your lettre to, you can opt in to PenPals and select a continent after you’re done writing your letter. Your letter can be read by someone from that continent who can also write back to you, making it easier to meet new people! You can also visit the “PenPals” tab to read handwritten lettres sent by others from around the world and if you like a lettre, you can write back to them. - Unparalleled writing / doodling experience: The writing experience is better than ever thanks to all the upgrades we made during the last 6 months. This includes additional stationery, better quality papers, saving lettres as photos, better security / privacy and of course, being able to attach images and even draw on them! - Better immersion: With every lettre, now you also get an envelope (just like the real world). You can preview and customize these envelopes, adding a new dimension to making each lettre your own! With our new PenPals feature, collecting stamps from other parts of the world is easier than ever — just connect with a PenPal from your desired continent! Among other subtle tweaks to the handwriting and postal experience, we added sound effects and sprinkled some fun stuff across the board that we want you to find. - The Post Office: We have our own retail stamp store selling digital stamps now! You can directly support up-and-coming independent artists by purchasing stamps from the Post Office. The latest stamp packs are by BotAgainstHumanity and Natishitoshno—along with a supporters pack! Hullo hullo! The under-construction sign at the Lettre Post Office was torn off by Pippin in a fit of rage last week after he complained about seeing the same stamps over and over on lettre envelopes. As a result, we were forced to accelerate construction of the stamp store to satiate our fidgety delivery bird—this means you all get new stamps to purchase, and two new artist collaborations. Image attachments to lettres might burden Pippin beyond his carrying capacity but he says he’s up for the challenge, so just let him have it. Here are the detailed updates: - Our stamp store is fully launched with three new stamp collections — Seven Wonders of the Ancient World by the Lettre team, and for the first time ever, two artist collabs! Find the Post Office in app and check out what BotAgainstHumanity and Natishitoshno have for you. - Insert image functionality for every lettre, along with nifty control and “draw over” options that let you fully deck out your message to a friend or penpal. Been travelling and want to regale your friends and family with a visual journal of your adventures? Start adding from your camera roll and fill in the blanks by drawing on them to your heart’s content. - Various quality of life updates, mostly focusing on Signature functionality to ensure you have greater control over how you sign off every lettre. - Various bug fixes and improvements.

Heylo! Lettre’s latest updates include a few nifty features that make life easier for our PenPals and give you more control over the lettres you draft. Pippin’s mailbag has been quite full recently, and we thank all of our users for validating our idea for a digital handwritten messaging experience. Keep writing! Here are the detailed updates: - Quality of life changes — to the overall writing experience, including several features and usability tweaks. - Improved inbox and outbox experience — sender info, sent email address, mark read/unread, loading screens and higher fidelity (among other things). - Save every lettre — as photos or PDF, to your device; if you wish to do so. - Sender signatures — add personalized post-scripts and signs and use it in every lettre if you wish. - Various sound effects — added throughout the app for greater "immersion" and "oomph". - Better reporting for errors. Our Supporters Pack is still available featuring 7 unique stamps made from early concept sketches of Pippin. Pippin the Pigeon has been busy delivering all your lettres to penpals and regular pals all across the world, and based on valuable feedback we’ve received from all of you, we’ve made sure to adjust the user experience of penpals and make life easier for Pippin in the process. As always, thank you for your interest in Lettre, our love letter to letters. The Updates: - Supporter’s Stamp Pack: We have a special pack for Pippin! Show us some love if you like our idea, or buy Pippin some breadcrumbs…either way, this pack is the best way to give us your much needed support. - Bug fixes and performance improvements: Stamped out some bugs and gave Pippin’s wings a thorough cleaning for maximum airspeed. - Updated tip videos: Now with pointers for tap locations and overall improved experience.

Pippin is proud of you early-birds and we can safely say you folks are the real OGs. Thank you. If you’re not using Lettre yet, thanks anyway for being interested enough in our idea to be reading a random release note. But yes, we have got updates for you! The Updates *Tip videos : We are seeing a number of users coming to the platform and want to make sure everyone is comfortable using all of the features we have included at launch. To help with that, we have added a tips section in the app. *Reply from inbox : When you receive a letter from a friend or Penpal, you should now see an option to reply to them directly from the letter you received from them – no need to start a new draft of a new letter. *New stationary : Monoline pen, fountain pen, watercolor brush and crayon! Artists, doodlers and calligraphers get four new drawing tools to play with! *Bug fixes and performance improvements : As always, we’re stamping out bugs as soon as we register them, and some might even say we’re better than the French government in their handling of the bedbugs epidemic.
