I made it into Gold in just a couple days without spending a penny, but at some point you WILL hit a wall. Progression is very deliberately gated as quests and energy are on a timer and there’s a finite amount of gold you can ever get in a day without spending real money. There’s many, many, many upgrades to make your units strictly better than someone else’s units and it would take eternity to unlock all possible upgrades without paying. I genuinely enjoy the game play, but I don’t see myself sticking with this long term. Someone who throws 50 dollars into this would leapfrog months and months of my grinding, and it doesn’t get much more discouraging and disincentivizing than that.
