Update: half of the nonsense is easy enough to ignore, but this feels kinda like a reskin of a religious version of the same game. There’s an awful lot of xtian words, none I can find from other religions, and several simple English words aren’t accepted. Still far too easy and the nonsense is still annoying. Lost an additional star because it feels like they’re shoving their god down my throat.
This game is fine but it would be much better if you could disable all the extra nonsense. I have no interest in your limited time games, your owls, puzzles, or ladybugs. Just let me spell my words in peace while I binge whatever catches my fickle interest in the background.
This app/game is just… lazy. They clearly intended this to be a pay-to-play kind of game, and to get as much out of someone as quickly as they could. The game, after about thirty or so levels, stagnates. There are no new challenges, no scaling in difficulty, and in fact, the rewards are the same every day, no changes after the first month or so.
The words they chose to go into the round are not consistent. Sometimes they choose a singular or plural version of a word, sometimes both, sometimes neither. The next puzzle will sometimes have that same instance. I’ve also encountered past or future tense use of a word, but not the present. They also choose words that are British variants (gild?).. It makes no sense. Im unsure of the dictionary they use, but if it has British variants of words, but doesn’t believe biome is a word, I’m not sure what to say.
A good game that could easily be great with some minor improvements. If the following disappointments are addressed in future releases, it will earn 5 stars.
The game plays in vertical (portrait) orientation only on the iPad. I have an iPad Pro with the Magic Keyboard, which means the iPad is in the horizontal (landscape) orientation. So it means I cannot play this game while using the Magic Keyboard. I wish the game would switch between the orientations like most iPad apps.
Not all words are recognized as words.
Not all gameplay is synced across devices. I am stuck playing it only on one device because not all my progress is synced to other devices when I try to play on them.
The Ladybug timer starts immediately even before you start the next round. So if you want to access the dictionary between rounds, you are losing time on the timer. Also the timer does NOT pause when exit the game. So if you don’t have the 15 minutes to play when you win the Ladybug timer, you are screwed. Life happens. Mother Nature calls, work breaks ends, doorbell rings, etc… If you leave the game, the timer will RUN out on you. The timer should only run while playing the game in actual game-play (in a game round). Disappointing.

The game rewards you for 20K knowledge points and never again for any other points (I’ve surpassed 100K). It tends to repeat the same words in the crossword every couple of games (sometimes back to back) so can feel very repetitive. The dictionary is simple, and I noticed it includes so many Christian terms but not other religions (eg, magi, hymn, Bible, Messiah - but not Torah or Shiva), it say no “bad terms” but you can actually play some and not others, but then it doesn’t recognize some real English words, etc. I’m at 0.44% of players because I’m stubborn and want to get to zero % lol.

Playing on an iPad mini five. Upgraded to the current OS in the last two or three days different features have shown up like this little shield but when I try to do a spin, it just won’t happen. The game is also gotten laggy and unresponsive in general, I was enjoying it before now I’m ready to give up. The apples support Link in the App Store. Just takes you to a developer page with no real to indicate which game or do a bug report. Ready to delete it and play other games. Too bad I was already in Lichtenstein and was well under 2% in terms of how many people had solved this puzzle. It was a good game. Sigh You guys really need a better bug reporting system for arcade games. Disappointed.
Ok it is better now. I still think I need a better way to report bugs than to do a one star review in the App Store. I looked and looked and couldn’t find a clear path to that so that’s why I did the review. I also think better how to play information should be there. Why do I care about my streak? We now have a little streak shield I can buy for 25 coins, but why bother? It took me a while to figure out how the daily game worked. More how it works and what’s the reward information would be really nice to see. Also are there leader boards for this thing? I don’t have any friends that play but maybe that would be a reason why I would care about my streak.
I’m really glad it functions again so you you’re getting four stars but not five.

Thanks for your patience!First things first…the new update broke the spin button. I’m showing that I have a soon but when I tap on it, it won’t open. Otherwise a mostly good game with frustrating unwritten rules about which words are allowed and which are not. Sometimes plurals are, sometimes not. Some “bad words” are in the dictionary, some are missing. Or maybe it’s just a severe lack of consistency in the way words are programmed into the database.
Edit: also broken in the latest update…the owl puzzle didn’t give me coins when I filled up the latest “picture”, definitions of words aren’t showing at all, and it shuts off Apple Music when I start the game. How did you manage to break so many things in a fairly simple update?
The latest update caused glitches that make it not nearly as fun. There is a glitch with 2 of the bonuses. The 6 hourly bonus button no longer works and I can’t get bonuses by clicking it anymore. The daily challenge no longer pays out or shows that you got bonus stars. The only way to gain bonus stars is the daily challenge and the 6 hourly bonus. So you can no longer receive stars for completing challenges. It’s very frustrating. I’ve tried everything to fix the error except actually deleting the app because I don’t want to lose my progress. I contacted the company about it and it turns out the email address they give to contact them on isn’t a real email address. The developer’s website has no place to go for support. Overall, I would say the game was fun but they messed it up and there’s no way to tell anyone about the problem. So I’m writing this review in hopes that someone will see it and fix the mistake.

Thanks for your patience!Recent update made two noticeable differences for me and neither positive. Bonus word jar got moved to bottom of screen so now you have to wait for screen to clear before continuing to choose words (previously would fly to top of screen and not be in your way). The spin option at top no longer works even though it shows I have one available. Tried selecting contact us but the info flashes so fast on screen you can’t even read it! No way to contact in App Store or directly from game. No way to report issues. I’ve dealt with basic repetitive words even at higher levels, common words not being recognized, and even having to realize uncommon spellings are being used, but not being able to report an actual issue is frustrating more than any of it.
