Safe RANGE to extend battery life
Manually, I keep my 1TB Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max between 40% & 80% charged.
Why can’t I set my Battery Alarm app to sound BOTH at & when I’m nearly approaching those to limits?
These charging limitations of based upon my own reading & preferences.LOVE that the app now REMEMBERS my preferred charge level!
The FULLY CHARGED indicator continues to be a bit off, though.
Apparently, there are 2 distinct battery charge level indicators.
The one that you use is OFF from the tiny charge indicator displayed in the upper right hand corner of the display on my 1TB Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max.
My workman’s that I set a 3-minute alarm.
When this app sounds that it’s reached my preferred 80% charge level, I turn off this anouing alarm & start my 3-minute timer.
Coincidentally, it takes 3 minutes to reach my desired 80% charge level.
Yes, this is a bit annoying & seemingly unwarranted effort on my part, but we GEEKS tend to have well defined desires, with precise outcomes!
“What are you gonna do?” - a favorite quote from my “Donnie Brasco” DVD.Alarm Sounds 2% BEFORE Target!
Consistently, the alarm sounds indicating that I’ve reached the target charge level at 2% BEFORE the Apple battery charge level agrees.
So, I use this app as an early warning indicator & then closely watch my continuing charge until my approaching target is reached.
Which indicator is actually correct?
Who knows…?
It’s like the old saying, “A person with a clock knows what time that it is, but a person with 2 clocks is never quite sure…”
