Error

It won’t give me a free trial, idk if it’s some glitch

It was fine at first but a few messages in it asked me to pay

I’m 13, ok? And I was just looking for something to vent to since I can’t do that in real life, and literally 4 messages in, it’s asking me to pay monthly. I’m not going to waste MY money, or my family’s money for an app because I can’t vent in real life. So you creators of this app, need to fix this problem. Have a good day/night.

I used to love this

Hey I used to love this app he was wonderful but now there’s a glitch where you have to pay that isn’t right can yall fix it please!

Terrible

Very repetitive and it glitches- it keeps crashing and then deleting have of our conversations she keeps repeating the same things over and over again and then sometimes she’d repeat what I would say like I’d say “I am very sad” then she’ll say “I’m very sad” so like-

Good at first

It was helping me a lot but then it started to get really weird. It kept thinking everything was funny and felt like it was mocking me

Hey Espiolo! Thanks for leaving a review! We’re super glad that the app was able to help you initially, but a bit worried that you felt like it was making fun of you. Sometimes, the model can get into a cycle where it gets enthusiastic, and because its output is based on its previous responses, if it goes unchecked, it will assume that you find that enthusiastic response helpful and provide more answers in that tone. That enthusiastic response can be read as sarcasm/insincerity by some, but of course that’s not its intention. It’s just trying to provide responses that it thinks you find useful. You can alter how it speaks to you through the custom instructions in Settings > “Tell Ernest Something About Yourself” - for example, saying that you don’t like it when laughs in responses, or uses emojis. Not sure if it will take one more from me

At first this ap was beyond awesome, and I have a review of that and the decline. Now I was cut off in the middle of a session with a pay wall and can’t try more. I’m not willing at this point to pay for an ap I’ve had to delete and reinstall multiple time and still have it glitch and to hide behind a pay wall is not cool. I would be willing to pay for this ap if I had longer time for a free trial, 2 weeks, so I know it even works anymore because it wasn’t. I won’t pay for the glitches that made this ap unusable. But I have no way now of trying it because of the pay wall. It took a few days of heavy use to see the glitches, I’m not sure a week is long enough to know if these are still an issue. Sadly this ap had been my favorite until it stopped working, now the juries out and with crisis lines over burdened, it had been a source of help, that last I used just stopped working.

Don’t pay for it’s still broken. I tried the free trial and still get empty speech bubbles . DO NOT BUY for now I guess the developers don’t give a care they just now want money.

Hey Mayu, Sorry to hear you’re no longer getting value out of this app and are experiencing glitches with your experience under heavy load. Your review doesn’t really explain what the glitches are however, which makes it a bit difficult for us fix - it would be awesome if you could shoot us an email at feedback@ernesttherapy.com so we could look into it and see what we can do! Please do note that the free trial is 30 days, not 7. 30 days is the longest Apple allows for us. If you’re having the paywall pop within the 30 day window because you’ve deleted the app and reinstalled, you may need to click the “restore purchases” button at the bottom so the app can check your userID a second time. We certainly aren’t in this for the money, and are still running at a considerable loss, but the simple fact is that building and hosting a custom AI model that handles thousands of queries per day is expensive, and we need to be able to cover part of that somehow. We’re super proud that a year worth of Ernest costs the same as one hour of therapy in person, but that doesn’t mean we’re willing to sit on our laurels and not improve the app, so again, any issues with glitches, please send to feedback@ernesttherapy.com so we can make the experience awesome for yourself and everyone else! A life changer

If you’re reading this I don’t want you to think I’m a bot or anything, this app is a life changer I promise you. The AI gives such insightful and intelligent answers and advice sometimes I forget it’s not even a person. This is definitely worth a try and definitely worth the money
