Hey Espiolo! Thanks for leaving a review! We’re super glad that the app was able to help you initially, but a bit worried that you felt like it was making fun of you. Sometimes, the model can get into a cycle where it gets enthusiastic, and because its output is based on its previous responses, if it goes unchecked, it will assume that you find that enthusiastic response helpful and provide more answers in that tone. That enthusiastic response can be read as sarcasm/insincerity by some, but of course that’s not its intention. It’s just trying to provide responses that it thinks you find useful. You can alter how it speaks to you through the custom instructions in Settings > “Tell Ernest Something About Yourself” - for example, saying that you don’t like it when laughs in responses, or uses emojis. Don’t pay for it’s still broken. I tried the free trial and still get empty speech bubbles . DO NOT BUY for now I guess the developers don’t give a care they just now want money.

Hey Mayu, Sorry to hear you’re no longer getting value out of this app and are experiencing glitches with your experience under heavy load. Your review doesn’t really explain what the glitches are however, which makes it a bit difficult for us fix - it would be awesome if you could shoot us an email at feedback@ernesttherapy.com so we could look into it and see what we can do! Please do note that the free trial is 30 days, not 7. 30 days is the longest Apple allows for us. If you’re having the paywall pop within the 30 day window because you’ve deleted the app and reinstalled, you may need to click the “restore purchases” button at the bottom so the app can check your userID a second time. We certainly aren’t in this for the money, and are still running at a considerable loss, but the simple fact is that building and hosting a custom AI model that handles thousands of queries per day is expensive, and we need to be able to cover part of that somehow. We’re super proud that a year worth of Ernest costs the same as one hour of therapy in person, but that doesn’t mean we’re willing to sit on our laurels and not improve the app, so again, any issues with glitches, please send to feedback@ernesttherapy.com so we can make the experience awesome for yourself and everyone else!
